      Now we know why Biden reinstated it, after Trump disallowed it.

      So much money in government goes “unaccounted for” in real terms.

        When Jeff Sessions ended the practice in 2017, he said this:

        “When the federal government settles a case against a corporate wrongdoer, any settlement funds should go first to the victims and then to the American people — not to bankroll third-party special interest groups or the political friends of whoever is in power,” said Sessions in a statement.

        “Unfortunately, in recent years the Department of Justice has sometimes required or encouraged defendants to make these payments to third parties as a condition of settlement,” the attorney general added. “With this directive, we are ending this practice and ensuring that settlement funds are only used to compensate victims, redress harm, and punish and deter unlawful conduct.”

    National Play Doh Day – it was originally a material to clean lampshades

    National Guacamole Day – always a favorite

    National Working Parents’ Day – like they have time to celebrate

    National Stepfamily Day – lots of these blended families out there

    National Cinnamon Raisin Bread Day – loved when my mom bought this. Now I can have it any time I want

    Mayflower Day – well at least the history changers haven’t removed it

      Yes to Guacamole…In the 1697 book, “A New Voyage Round the World”, the first known description of a guacamole recipe (though not known by that name) was by English privateer and naturalist William Dampier, who in his visit to Central America during one of his circumnavigations, noted a native preparation made of grinding together avocados, sugar, and lime juice.       There’s always been a story in my mother’s family that one male ancestor arrived in North America on the Mayflower, but one of the later Mayflower voyages. Of course no one bothered to write down his name so it could be checked out with the genealogy websites for each of the subsequent voyages (1630–as part of the Winthrop Fleet–1633, 1634, and 1639). So it’s probably merely someone’s wishful thinking.
