Well, I was looking awful hard at theirs!
Ended the day at a high school football game, which normally I’d love. But…they played hunka thunka jib jab music blaring. And purple hair. Tattoos and nose rings. And the candidates for homecoming queen, two of them, and last year’s queen, had dresses with lights on them. Yes, someone had apparently plugged them in.
Since I saw three of them, I must assume that’s a trend now. Is the desire for beauty no longer a thing? We must have neon clothes and such?

Well, I am happy, but it was a little hard getting used to it being hot and cold at the same time. Here the sun is so intense and at the same time the air in the shade is cool.

This woman homesteader I recently started watching on YT says it going to be a bad winter. She’s somewhere in east TN, I think close to Knoxville maybe. Anyhow, she’s read the “signs” and our old folks sure believed in all that stuff.

Appalachia’s Homestead with Pataria. You will like her! She’s a no nonsense gal, prepper, and thinks some real shenanigans are coming our way politically.
First thing of hers I found was a biscuit recipe. Apparently she’s done a number of biscuit videos. This one was cooking them in a cast iron skillet and her recipe is dead on what I do. I plan to watch some more of all her stuff.

The “media” is already setting the groundwork for why Cackles will lose the debate. She’s going to be overwhelmed by the “Gish Gallop”. Pop and some other military guys at his assisted living facility each received a quilt the other day. My sister told me that the folks at Quilts of Valor provided them at no cost! They are absolutely beautiful. Very touching. I’ll see if I can get a picture or two on here in the next couple days. I found out that they are affiliated with the Flags across America folks, too! Afternoon All. Beautiful day here. It isn’t supposed to rain or anything. We’ll see.
I got my shot in my eye yesterday. My eye is almost healed. The spot that was red on the film now has no red at all. So, this might be the last one. Hope so. He said next time I come in, in three months, we will talk about cataract surgery.
My granddaughters came over and we watched Despicable Me. We were all laughing all through it. That was fun. We had to do that because my eyes were dilated and I couldn’t look out the window and I couldn’t see very well until almost evening.

Speaking of YouTube, I’ve been watching the latest YouTube from Kara and Nate, in which he runs the Leadville 100. A 100 mile race over 30 hours in mountains over 12,000 feet elevation. Nate makes it!
I can’t imagine EVER doing that – at any age. I’ve always loved Colorado, and I can remember being short of breath just walking at over 12,000 feet. I got altitude sickness the first time I was at high elevation – twice.

I did a 20K walkathon for charity quite a few years ago. I spent the rest of the day on the sofa exhausted. That’s about 12 miles.

I used to do those walkathons with friends when I was in high school. Like you, I was sore, but I did it. I could never run that far though.
