This was posted late yesterday at AT, but I think I’ve heard this tune before…….Big solar company makes announcement of US jobs, world domination……etc. etc……etc….Then…..poof!

Solar panel company halts plant construction in Colorado, will ‘restructure’ amid expected dip in ‘profitability’ – American Thinker

Good mornin’, Miss Stella! I just attempted to post something from AT and the entire thing disappeared. Can you take a look when you get a minute.

Afternoon All. Another beautiful day here. I had to put an another quilt on my bed because it was down in the 40’s again, and now is 60*. But the sun is out with a few clouds. Okay. I know I am getting annoying bragging about our beautiful weather. But, just remember, when I am surviving at below 0* you will be enjoying 70* weather. And, then, you can smirk. LOL

Stella, thank you for that article and video on the flying postal service. I forwarded it on to my DIL. She said they are going to study flight when they start school soon and that will fit right in. Great timing. Oh, and her father is very interested in the study of flight and did not know about the postal service, so he was interested in it, too.

Well, hope everyone has a nice day. Stay indoors if it is too hot.

Good afternoon, mom! It is hot here again, but we will soon have beautiful fall weather, my favorite time of all.

Glad that everyone enjoyed the info about the postal service. I thought it was really interesting. I can’t imagine installing all of those arrows and beacons all across the U.S.

I just offered the 6th and 7th grade grandkids $20 to solve this equation. I had to nudge their thinking cap a little bit, but they both got it. Proud grandmother!

    A+A+A=39

    B+B-A=50

    6+C+B=?

    A+B+C=?

It is actually quite easy, but looks intimidating to a kid only beginning to solve for a couple of variables. Which disturbs me, because at their age they should be doing a lot of algebra.

You see immediately that A=13, right? Using that, you go to the next problem. B+B-13 (A)=25, so 2B=38 because in order to isolate B and solve, we add 13 to both sides, therefore B=19 because we now divide both sides by 2. Now we plug in B to solve for C and get 6+C+19=50. We need to isolate and solve for C. 6+C+19=50, so C=50-6-19=25.

        13+19+25=57

There are only two things you need to remember, and this is a very simple problem. First, just solve one equation one step at a time. Second, you can add, subtract, or divide with any equation, but whatever operation you do on one side also happens on the other side because they must remain equal.
