Mornin’ All. Beautiful coolish morning here. We had the same yesterday and by 4:00 the storm clouds moved in and we had a huge t-storm with lots of rain. It was almost as black as night outside for a while. Very enjoyable.
Hope all your t-storms are enjoyable.

I’ve talked to a number of folks who are downtrodden after this sh*t-show because of the huge “bump” Cackles is getting in the polls. I tried to talk ’em off the ledge by reminding them of the media’s role in this thing and wait for some polls that are taken a week or so after the pain meds wear off on the maroons who got free “reproductive” help.

I call B.S. There is no bump. Statistics are a fill in the blank formula to get the pre selected answer. That’s my opinion yeah, but it’s backed up with a good amount of study and classes on my part.
I am surprised my husband hasn’t duct taped my mouth shut on game day and race day. It drives me crazy, the nonsense they spout as statistics. And he agrees, but I’m sure he’d rather watch the events in peace!
No one has ever won the race from the pole position. No one has ever won from behind 10th, etc.
No one has ever won the game from the western division of the conference. No one has ever thrown for more than three touchdowns against Stud McGillicuddy’s team.
Oh, horse crap. Last week y’all had a whole different set of “statistics” that changed that day.
Statistics are almost never used properly. I think I’ll write a post about that next Saturday. I have a great example from a past election.

I don’t remember who said it, but they were much smarter than me, but it was something like…….if you give me at least 3 numbers, I can come up with whatever results you want to pay me to come up with.

There are differences, and the terms have migrated from Great Britain/UK. Those terms are used in parts of Europe, too.
