    Good mornin’, and Happy Tuesday, kids! I’ve marked myself safe from watching the dystopian cr*p-show called the DNC, but in case you want to avail yourself to that freakshow, please make sure you have lots of coffee and an attitude. Nothing better for attitude than Steampunk. Carpe your coffee!

    There are some brave souls out there. This gentleman watched the entire evening, primarily to watch Joey from Scranton’s farewell to arms speech. He came on state at 11:30 Eastern Time and for 46 minutes that bag of skin droned on, apparently. Can you imagine? They let him know where he stands. He also headed to California on vacation right after his speech.

      I didn’t watch his speech. I figured I would hear snippets of it later. But, I did see Dr. Jill leaving on the airplane with him. She wasn’t holding his hand and she just sort of pushed her way in front of him and marched her little self up the stair with him following along behind her. I got the feeling she was miffed.

      I did listen to Biden’s speech. It seem more like a legacy statement for himself than a promotion of Harris. I upped the playback speed 25%. It made Biden surprisingly intelligible, with only of few garbled words. Instead of his usual whispery faint voice, it was at a normal level.

      Some were saying he was angry and shouting. I did not get that impression. It simply seemed that he was sufficiently medicated to perform 25% below normal, with a normal level of volume. Angry? I don’t know.

      The speech content was a fabrication not made of whole cloth.

      For all the purported love and joy at the convention, his speech might have been the opening address and the grateful acknowledgment of his exit from politics. But the DNC chose to relegate the speech by the current president to last place. Worn out, no longer in the running, and no longer useful for their purpose to elevate Kamala and Waltz.

    National Radio Day – a few of us used to live in houses not having TVs, just radios

    Mornin’ All. Beautiful day here again. Loving this weather. We will have it for a few more months, although a long time resident said that it has actually snowed in the middle of August. 😯 And, they used to get two feet of snow at a time. Imagine! Well, I guess there are those of you who have lived up north can.

    Hope there is no snow in your immediate future so you an enjoy the day.

    When questioned about rumors that Kennedy was in talks with either Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign about a “potential endorsement” in exchange for a position in their cabinets, Shanahan said they were “definitely not in talks with Harris” and “definitely never have brought up this idea of an endorsement” with Harris’s campaign.

    “There’s two options that we’re looking at, and one is staying in, forming that new party, but we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Walz presidency because we draw votes from Trump — or we draw, somehow, more votes from Trump,” Shanahan revealed. “Or we walk away right now and join forces with Donald Trump, and we walk away from that, and we explain to our base why we’re making this decision.”
