I live in a pretty dark area, not near any large light sources, and get good night skies. But I have no patience to sit for a meteor a minute or so. I get bored. I want lots at once. Also, I have to be outside, in the dark alone, and I always fear a wild critter might come up to visit with me.

Mornin’ czarina! I remember the first time I watched the Perseid meteor shower. I was in high school on a church youth group camping trip. We put down blankets and watched them from a prone position. It was pretty relaxing and fun.
