I’m up early, not only because I have a food delivery this AM, but because last night I watched a video of horrible abuse of horses and other livestock which have been left to starve on a supposedly wealthy Texan’s property near Dallas (I could NOT watch more than one video to determine where exactly they were taped).

Afternoon All. Wonderful beautiful day here. It is slightly coolish and very sunny. I had to pull up a quilt on the bed last night because it was a little cooler than it has been. Nice.
I am ignoring, or turning off, the news whenever Kamala comes on. She is so annoying and such a liar it is too irritating to listen to. The next few months are going to be even rougher, I have a feeling.

Well. I watched the very small piece of the Olympic coverage that showed our team entering the fray. That said, I shall not be watching the entire spectacle of pink dancing whatzits, men in tutus and toe shoes, assorted perverted costumed mimes ‘n shite and professional athletes that have no business being there perform.
I shall instead pay homage to a truly humble team of Olympic amateurs from back in the day that got to the games on a wing and a prayer, with absolutely nothing but hope… and winning nothing but the world’s respect.

A Texas judge has blocked the state’s attempts to compel a deposition from a representative of a charity that aids illegal immigrants who cross the Texas-Mexico border.
On July 24, District Judge J.R. Flores ruled in favor of Catholic Charities of the Rio Grande Valley (CCRGV), which pushed back against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s efforts to gather information under oath.
The attorney general’s office is investigating several nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) in the state to determine if they broke the law by how they assisted illegal immigrants crossing into Texas.
