Good mornin’, and Happy Tuesday, kids! We’re off to quite a start and I’m pretty sure we’re going to need mass quantities of this nectar of the Gods. Carpe your diem and fill up your cup! I don’t think the fun ride has even started.

I am not a lawyer, and I don’t know campaign finance laws, but if this is true, FJB and his team of crack(pot) legal advisors might have their “team” over a barrel. A lot of things could happen to the millions he’s holding onto for the Presidential campaign. This says Kamala, but it’s really Brain-Freeze Brandon who has ’em all by the short hairs. Popcorn time.

I’m athinkin’ this may be the Dem convention to watch! Before, it seemed the outside events in the street would be entertaining, a la 1968, but now the floor fights and back room deal gossip look like fun.

I was reading about conventions, which started in 1832. They were meetings of the people across the country who had power and influence, and their choices were informed by insider knowledge.

In 1901 the Dems in Florida started the modern popular Presidential Primary election system. But when Humphrey was nominated in 1968 without having won a single primary under his own name (Lyndon Johnson had dropped his bid for re-election), the Dems wrote new rules which required state primaries.

Seems there are rules which bind delegates to the candidates they were chosen to represent, in both parties. Edward Kennedy tried unsuccessfully to get that changed against Carter, and some delegates tried against Trump in 2016.

The passing of Biden’s delegates could fit into the rules, because he can release them in writing. Nothing says delegates have to follow his recommendations, but the media are reporting many are. If Harris gets enough before the convention, all the fun will be outside again.

Remember that perky little bubble-head who was going to run FJB’s “Misinformation Bureau”. She had sued FoxNews for defamation and several other things. A DE judge threw it all out of court. We’re starting to see some pushback from the judiciary, who don’t seem to be quite as scared of the big boys in DC right now. I don’t believe we are seeing an awakening, but at least coffee is being served.

Afternoon All. Sunny/hazy here at 80* right now. The temps are supposed to drop tomorrow for at least a while. It stayed really hot until almost 9:00 PM yesterday. It was still almost too hot for poor little Loki who wanted to take her walk anyway.

All the political news is just crazy. It is hard to look away. 😯

    Have a nice day.

Oh, did anyone notice that Cheatle is OUT! Of course, the Dems will probably put in someone just as incompetent, etc., but may not since everyone seems to realize that the assassination attempt was probably planned by the FIB.

I am watching Outnumbered and while they were discussing the assassination plot and especially the part where Trump said he refused to be taken out on a gurney. He actually had an argument with the SS all piled on top of him and Emily Companio made a comment on the “meat shield” he had on top of him. It might seem crude to many of you, but it really struck me funny. Some truth to that, don’cha know.

The Guadalupe River in my hometown. Rancho el Gordito is a mile off this river. Momma got flooded in today. We have a creek that feeds into the river at the entrance to our property.
