    Trump campaign launches fundraiser for Pennsylvania rally shooting victims

    The Trump campaign launched a fundraiser for the victims caught in the crossfire of an attempted assassination on the ex-president’s life.

    The online call to action raised just short of $85,000 within the first hour of its launch.

    President Donald Trump has authorized this account as a place for donations to the supporters and families wounded or killed in today’s brutal and horrific assassination attempt,” Meredith ORourke, the National Finance Director and Senior Advisor of the Trump campaign wrote.

        Melania Trump Issues Statement After Assassination Attempt on Husband

        ‘Let us not forget that differing opinions, policy, and political games are inferior to love,’ says the former first lady.

        Former First Lady Melania Trump on Sunday issued a statement on the assassination attempt targeting her husband, former President Donald Trump, and offered her sympathy to the other victims who were shot during the incident.

        In a lengthy statement posted to social media, Ms. Trump wrote that “when I watched that violent bullet strike my husband, Donald, I realized my life, and Barron’s life, were on the brink of devastating change,” adding she is “grateful to the brave Secret Service agents and law enforcement officials who risked their own lives.”

        The former first lady, who has been largely out of the public eye during former President Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, called on Americans to “ascend above the hate” and “simple-minded ideas that incite violence.”

        July 13th, 2024, was a day that will live in infamy forever – the day the unthinkable finally happened…

        During a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, former President Donald Trump was abruptly rushed off stage after being grazed by a bullet in a failed assassination attempt. Eight to ten gunshots were fired, with one grazing Trump’s ear – missing a fatal blow by a single millimeter. If Trump hadn’t gone off script and turned his head at that exact second, the unthinkable would be a reality… It was a miracle by God that the attempt wasn’t successful. 

        The alarming event took place on Saturday evening within minutes of Trump taking the stage to deliver his speech to a crowd of supporters.  Video recordings of the scene show Trump ducking for cover after the initial gunshots were heard.  Secret Service agents promptly moved in to shield Trump and guide him away from potential harm.

        Trump was grazed by a bullet in his right ear. Despite being injured, as he was whisked away, Trump fought the agents so he could turn to the crowd with a raised fist, chanting “Fight! Fight! Fight!” This man is unshakeable. Thank God we still have him today…

    Thank you for the prayer. and prayer reminders. This is deeply personal for the Trump family. May they all stand strong with FP Donald Trump. Tiffany Trumps posting of thanksgiving to God and thanks to those charged with protecting her father, was remarkable in its swiftness.

    Tex, Thank you for the coffee and the carpe and question reminders. Our discernment must be in top form in the coming days.

      Good morning, Reflection! I was up half the night reading and viewing everything possible from around the world. The haters are out in force, but we know God saved our President at just the right moment.

      May the haters repent and turn from their wicked ways. May we all listen to the Holy Spirit’s call on our lives and devote ourselves to seeing that hate does not win the day.

      Interesting story behind this Wee, actually a lot of them. But relevant here, Pope John Paul II was shot on May 13, date of the first apparition. He always credited Mary with saving him, and he went on to fulfill her request made to the children of Fatima, and ignored by the pope then, and after. Until him.

      As a young priest in Poland, he had a particular devotion to the writings of a little known Polish nun named Faustina, who died in October of 1938. The Vatican had pretty much buried her history, as was predicted to her by Jesus himself.

      Then in 1978, to the utter shock of the Church and the world, Karol Wojtyla became Pope John Paul II, and fulfilled the mission Jesus had entrusted to Faustina. The great gift of the Divine Mercy chaplet, and Divine Mercy Sunday was given to the world.

      The thing is, if the most hard core atheists would study the recorded, proven, photographed, witnessed by tens of thousands, including communist skeptics, events of Fatima, where the sun danced in the sky, and then later the stories of St. Faustina and Our Lady of Guadalupe, they could never deny Christ. The tilma of Juan Diego has been examined by thousands of doctors and scientists, most seeking to reveal the “hoax” and only further providing evidence.

      I don’t know what happened with that bullet, but it is entirely possible that Mary was once again a vehicle of God’s mercy and protection.

    Just remembered the mornings after John Kennedy’s and Robert Kennedy’s assassinations. Home with my family, I was 14 and then 18. Seems to me it was kind of dark in the house, and everyone subdued. TV on constantly, watching for more information.

    So relieved when I saw Trump shove his fist in the air and yell “fight”.

      Good mornin’, czarina. I was talking about this on FB with some people last night. While I was alive during the Kennedy assassinations, I was too young to know what was going on. I remember the attempts on Ford and Reagan as I was then in the age range you were. Fortunately, it’s been a long time for something like this to happen and we now have a couple generations of younger people who are used to elevating the tension level because they’ve not seen any consequence for that as they are such noble keyboard warriors.

    The bandage shown is more liberally applied. It just “screams” bandage.

    Afternoon All. It’s going to be a hot one here today.

    I am not sure what to say. I am still shook up by the shooting yesterday. I am having trouble thinking of anything else. It was good to be in church this morning and Trump’s close call was mentioned in the prayers. What a horrible night. Glad there was Stella’s and next door. It helped to hear others’ thoughts and feelings.

      Good afternoon, aus! We’re at 84 degrees right now, heading to 95. For some reason, Gee has been sleeping in the closet. I can see sleeping on the vinyl wood floor, but carpet? Go figure!

      We’ll probably all be a tad jittery for a while. My teeth have been chattering…weird. Lack of proper sleep perhaps.

      Be nice to be somewhere like this….

    It occurred to me the next thing to worry about is a lone wolf crazy deciding to get revenge by putting Biden in his sights. I am sure I am not original in this fear. I’ll bet we see very little of the president out in the unprotected world in the next 4 months. If I were Jill I’d put him back in the basement!

    And thinking about Tucker Carlson’s musings on the escalation of unsuccessful attacks from accusations to law fare leading to the next level, assassination, this won’t be the last attack at Trump. I know we all fear that.

    Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening.

    We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness.

    Our love goes out to the other victims and their families. We pray for the recovery of those who were wounded, and hold in our hearts the memory of the citizen who was so horribly killed.

    In this moment, it is more important than ever that we stand United, and show our True Character as Americans, remaining Strong and Determined, and not allowing Evil to Win.

      The clips I’ve seen of her response to the assassination attempt show her arrogance. Dedicated to DEI, wokism and political stances antithetical to her actual job and that of the agents, she needs to be fired not conferred with. No “find the best and most qualified person for the job” in her repertoire.
