Good mornin’, and Happy Tuesday, kids! All of the excitement has passed on through the HOU. While not as bad as some that we’ve had, there’s still a lot of cleaning up to do. Bring out heavy duty coffee machinery to help.

They kept warning about those here, but I don’t know but a couple of ’em spun off. I am much more scared of a tornado than a hurricane. Glad y’all are safe now. Did ya’z lose power?

We are getting the end of the tail rain in short downpours. No wind. Two showers last night, one this morning as I was going out to pick berries and figs. I got a little wet, but it is cool and pleasant out there.

A few days ago three teenage thugs killed a tour guide in the Quarter. The 15 year old was on an ankle monitor from two previous offenses, and the media are in an uproar over the juvenile justice system. I’m pretty much at “stone them in the streets after the first offense”.
It is stupid to act like knowing where the kid is will keep him from killing someone else. Maybe a strong taser shock when he leaves the house.

What almost no one wants to say is that a huge number of people, black and white, have demanded that young black thugs be allowed to riot, to beat people, and to steal and murder, without any repercussions.
Until people realize this sets all of society up as victims for those who live outside it, in savagery and malice, and do something about it, we are all just potential victims.

Mornin’ All. Another sunny hot day here. My air conditioner actually ran for about 5 min. late yesterday afternoon while the sun shined on the patio and the air conditioning unit. The thermometer said 108*. That was in the direct sun.
Hope everyone is safe and has electricity. I know some of you do. That tornado area is wild. How scary can it get?

The article was from 2022. The “Fanfare for the First Lady”, was removed from the Marine Band’s repertoire shortly thereafter, due to the furor that followed the publication.
Unless it’s been re-introduced, this is defunct. (Even if it was once true.)
I’m seeing more old articles/information in searches than ever before.
