Good mornin’, Texan! I miss the days when sportsmen dressed in suits and ties, were clean-shaven, and hair wasn’t done up in some fancy, girly do.
One of my friends in the 1960s had a brother who played in the MLB. Those guys knew how to dress. Fans would send them cuff links and tie clips/tacks, too, and they were happy to wear them. After games they’d mingle with the crowd and sign autographs and have their pictures taken.

This is probably one of my favorite takes on the “debate” the other night. The flaks at the White House tell reporters that the Potato-in-Chief was probably “over-prepared” for the shindig. I’m sure that was it.

Afternoon All. Boy, it looks really ugly in several directions here. Part of the sky is beautiful blue with pretty white clouds and part is really ugly black clouds. And, I hear thunder off in the distance. I understand when they say “Big Sky Country. I had to take some papers into town to drop off and got rained on just a tiny bit. But it sure looks like more is coming.

Supreme Court Rules Trump Has Some Immunity in Federal Election Case

The Supreme Court ruled 6–3 that presidents enjoy immunity from criminal prosecution for official, but not unofficial, acts—in a decision that’s expected to delay former President Donald Trump’s trial in the federal election case in Washington.
The Supreme Court held that: “Under our constitutional structure of separated powers, the nature of Presidential power entitles a former President to absolute immunity from criminal prosecution for actions within his conclusive and preclusive constitutional authority. And he is entitled to at least presumptive immunity from prosecution for all his official acts. There is no immunity for unofficial acts.”
The July 1 decision remands the case to the district court for further consideration.
