Good mornin’, kids! We made it to the holiday weekend, and with everything going on, I’m picking quantity over beauty today. 100 cup capacity and we’ll have one on standby! Ladies, bring your big Stanley this morning. Coffee up and carpe something! Enjoy!

    Geek Pride Day

Towel Day – First and foremost, it’s important to note for those who are unfamiliar with Douglas Adams, according to The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, “A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have.”

National Wine Day – I’ll have to see if I can fit this into my busy Saturday

National Brown Bag It Day – I can do this

    National Missing Children Day

    National Tap Dance Day

For a second I thought we were gonna have wine and “brownies” in a bag.

Good day, Czarina! Brown bagging the wine and hoboing it on the local railcars without a towel is not advised. Tap dancing, on the other hand, is a most pleasant pastime….

Honestly, I wish the people who make up these “national days” wouldn’t mix in the serious with the fun and/or frivolous. It seems somehow devaluing. Having two separate lists would be much better.

Prayers for all the precious children who are missing. May they somehow, somewhere be found today.

I’m shocked that I haven’t seen this story on “real” news. San Diego lithium battery storage facility fire has been burning for 9 days in a single 80,000 sf building and they can’t put it out. I just love greenie-weenie solutions……..Used over 5,000,000 gallons of water so far.

Remember when we fired you because you wouldn’t get the jab? Yeah, well, we would really, really like for you to come back now that we can’t make you get the jab. Sorry about you losing your job and livelihood and all that stuff. We still like you. Love you long time.

The big question is whether at the next crisis the people in power will demand such compliance, or maybe have thoughts about the consequences.

Bigger question to me is, how many people will line up for shots. Me, I stopped even taking flu shots, and refused the pneumonia vaccine this year, first year it was recommended for me.

Yeah, I really think they have every intention of killing us with vaccines.

I stopped too. I exercised an easy alternative for me during Covid. Stay home.

I did get the first two shots. I never had Covid.

My husband and I did have it. Later in the time frame, I think it was omicron? We were fortunate, it was really milder than most colds I’ve had. But I know people who had it and were very, very sick.

I think one of my nieces, a single mom, had to get vaccinated to keep her job. She’s had it four times and several of them she was terribly sick. And she’s young and fit and healthy.

I gave up on vaccinations a long while back. I had a bad reaction to the DPT shot and figure nothing can be as bad as causing yourself harm. I had covid when it first came out. And, I just couldn’t believe anything we were being told about the vaccine.

I’m done with the vaccines as well. A few years ago I got the “original” shingles vaccine and had no issues with it. A few years ago before corona, my doc wanted me to get the new, 2-shot version. She then told me when I do to have the first one on a Friday because I was gonna feel like caca…… I never got it, and never will. Same with flu, and the pneumonia for me. I don’t trust any of ’em.

I got the first pneumonia shot (recommended right after my heart attack), but never went back to get the second one. I have never had pneumonia, and probably never will. I had shingles when I was in my 30’s. Could get it again, I imagine, but I’m not getting the shots.

Afternoon All. It is in the 40’s and raining lightly here as well as overcast. I don’t know if that is the way it is going to be all day or not, but it is that way now. We got pretty damp on our walk.

Hope all of you have a nice day with some nice weather.
