    Mornin’ all ya’all! Travel day to Charlottesville VA to see my sister for a week. Terrible rain yesterday and last night, lots of lightning and thunder. All south of us in the Gulf right now.

    National Buttermilk Biscuit Day – good way to start your breakfast

    National Dance Like a Chicken Day – the chicken dance was a big thing in NO at the German Pavilion during the World’s Fair in 1984

    National Decency Day – bring back basic civility

    National Underground America Day – not much of this near the Gulf Coast. Tends to fill up with water

    I saw this on “social” media just a couple minutes ago and I think it sums up things rather succinctly. The only thing missing at the end is – words and deeds.

      What ever happened to the sticks and stones verse that adults drilled into us? Also while we were frequently getting bombarded with actual sticks on stones on those playgrounds. Which were on concrete or bubbling asphalt, with monkey bars and balance beams and those hand over hand thingies that built, oh, I don’t know, toughness. And confidence. And where you did really get a few broken bones, but found out you lived?

      Anybody else remember that prisons started in the US as being placed in a room alone with a bible…

      Of course, I’m also thinking stocks in the public square were also a good idea.

    Mornin’ All. 56* and slightly breezy with sun and some clouds.. Niiiiiice! I think it is time to take my flannel sheets off the bed and put on some regular ones. I can probably remove one quilt, too. I guess this is what they call “Spring”, huh!? The trees all have leaves and some flowers and I saw a robin yesterday. This morning I saw what looked like black birds, but they were small.

    Hope your day is nice, too. No tornadoes!
