Generations of gardeners in NO supplemented the heavy clay soil with kitchen scraps and such, and left some great places for those gardeners who came after.

You know how the libs are always caterwauling about saving this spider or lizard, or fish……….well, apparently now trees are not their friend. I’ve read some other things about Gates and his crew are getting behind cutting them down, but this “solar” project will remove Joshua trees that don’t seem to be holding their own very well. Once again, if it weren’t for double-standards, the left would have none at all.

An interesting grouping, Czarina! Third Shift Workers–serve them all Cokes and Cocoanut Cream Pie during their break….though that might produce an unwanted sugar high for which school nurses and student nurses would need to be on call.
Why is 3rd shift bad for you?

There are so many cicadas here that it sounds like a hammer. A constant hammering sound. And they are everywhere.

None here. Very quiet. I looked at the maps and we are just south of an imaginary line, which cicadas probably can’t discern anyway. So some might come later.

Afternoon All. Nice day here, 63*, even though it is overcast with white and gray clouds. When I came back from Bible Study, Loki had taken off her sweater. I guess she doesn’t need it now.
Those tornadoes look awful. Prayers for all those in their paths. I am watching what I recorded this morning so all that may be over. Hope everyone is okay.
