“Still life of Flowers” (1614) by Ambrosius Bosschaert (1573-1621), Dutch still life painter…

“Lilacs In a Window”(1883) by Mary Cassatt (1844-1926)

Calexico, California flower field photo that would make a beautiful painting….

I love orange flowers! Which is a little strange to me, because orange is my least favorite color.

Thanks Lucille, I’d love to have that first arrangement on my table. I also love clear cut glass!

Good day, Menagerie! Orange is pretty much an accent color for me, even in flowers. Love when someone gives me a bouquet to put in a cut crystal vase.

No way in the world did this little pipsqueak not steal £20,000,000 from the monies he’s supposed to use for his people. At the moment that’s $25,157,600. The corrupt are just spitting in our faces now.

Good mornin’, Miss Wee! I heard this judge is clamping down even more after recent comments. They have no idea that every time they turn a screw, he just gets more popular…….but that’s ok. Getting harder and harder for the other side to deny these things anymore. Coffee’s ready but be careful!

Good mornin’, czarina! Lots of good stuff today! Especially whilst I’m eating Chocolate Mousse in my tweed jacket! The kind with the patches on the elbows! Coffee’s ready!

Hans Zimmer – “Idyll’s End” (THE LAST SAMURAI) slow relaxing ambient

I listen to this and the entire score all the time. Mesmerizing.

Though I like tweed, I don’t have any outfits. But if I did, I’d wear one out for a walk while thinking about chocolate mousse.

Re Childhelp National Day of Hope, I don’t know anything about Childhelp, but if it’s sponsored by our tax dollars I’m skeptical of anything our present government supports. Yesterday I watched a couple vids on the Ruby Franke/Jodi Hildebrandt child abuse case in Utah…simply harrowing and beyond sad into anger-making.

Afternoon All. It must have rained here last night and the sun is hidden behind the clouds now. But, it was 50* here when we got up this morning. Actually pretty nice right now although it looks like it will probably rain again here in a few minutes.

In a little bit I need to go get groceries. So that seems to be my big excitement for the day.

Hope your excitement for the day is a little more exciting…….uh, may not with the way things are going now.

Started out in the high 50’s, sunny, very windy and cool but low humidity. Took GGS out with the chain saw and clippers and cut a lot of trash trees down the east side of the driveway, then disposed of them into the woods. Looks a sight better now, and it was cool enough to be pleasant to work, rising to low 70’s.

Tonight I’m going to Slidell, the next big city south, for a fancy dinner. Love having a European trained chef on the safe side of NO.
