Mornin’, kids! Halfway home. Have you ever wondered what you would do if you won a big lottery? As the meme’s say, I wouldn’t tell anyone………..but there would be signs…… Coffee up, y’all  ;)

Just a reminder of what to look for this fall. Did you know that CA is still counting votes from their primary which happened over a week ago? It’s true, and running exactly like one would think……….Late votes all seem to be trending in one direction.

So beautiful! Any name available? Thought it might be the Coast Guard ship Eagle, but that has its name clearly visible on the sides. By the pictured 5 sails on each of the 3 masts, I think this is classed as a barque. I’ve always loved the looks of a ship which has the cute little spinnakers off the forward bow.

When I was 13, a family friend gave me a novel, “Praise At Morning” (which I still have) about a clipper ship captain and his lady love during the American Civil War. For the rest of the summer I was crazy for clipper ships and their spinnakers plus any other sailing ship, in no small part to the handsome fictional captain.

Wow…a thought just flipped across my mind…are the Los Angeles Clippers named after clipper ships. Just looked it up, and they are! Who knew!

Georgia Judge Dismisses 6 Charges in Trump Election Case

‘The lack of detail concerning an essential legal element is, in the undersigned’s opinion, fatal.’

    By Catherine Yang – 3/13/2024

Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee on March 13 ruled on several demurrers, striking six counts from the 41-count indictment against former President Donald Trump and 14 codefendants.

The demurrers were brought by President Trump, former White House chief-of-staff Mark Meadows, and attorneys John Eastman, Ray Smith III, Robert Cheeley, and Rudy Giuliani.

The mission statement of the USMA, West Point has been changed. They are removing the words……Duty, Honor, Country…….from their mission statement that has been in place since before McArthur was a student there. Here is the current statement – “To educate, train, and inspire the Corps of Cadets so that each graduate is a commissioned leader of character committed to the values of Duty, Honor, Country and prepared for a career of professional excellence and service to the Nation as an officer in the United States Army.” At first, I thought this was a bad joke, but below is the press release from the horse’s mouth.

Afternoon All. I finally made it to Wed. Bible Study this morning. It was 28* when we got up and is 43* now with cloudy skies and what looks like rain. But, I don’t think there is any chance of rain. Doesn’t look very Springy here to me.

    Have fun.

Hi, aus! That’s great your Bible Study is in the morning. The one I used to attend was in the evening and that’s pretty much out for me now. Do you study a specific book of the Bible from beginning to end, or is it by topic?

Our weather this morning was overcast but just when the hospital bus showed up it started snowing. I just wore my regular oxfords instead of snow boots since the walk from my door to the door of the bus isn’t that far.

Had a great report at the doctor’s based on the lab work done last week. My CKD moved backwards from a 3B to a 3A. All the tests showed in the “normal” range, though two were on the high side of normal. Doc was really pleased and I’m elated. Now the challenge is to remember what I was doing right for this good outcome…LOL!

Great that you got a good report at the doctor’s. Yes, you really should try to remember what you have done since you saw him the last time so you can keep it up.

I am glad that our Bible Study is in the morning. I haven’t gotten involved in much of any thing else. I noticed that some things that I have considered getting involved in have meetings in the early evening. That is fine for a month or so in the summer, but the winters are long here and I don’t drive in the snow or at night. So, I have hesitated to volunteer for anything. My friend that I ride with doesn’t drive at night, either.
