The Secrets to Perfect Corned Beef & Cabbage

St. Patrick’s Day is only ten days away. If you plan to cook corned beef, either purchased ready-to-cook from the supermarket or a brisket that you “corn” yourself, this is the video to watch.

Originally, the English word corn meant any rounded grain or seed. In this case, the term “corned” comes from the use of large salt flakes, or “corns”, used to cure the beef brisket.

    A couple of years ago I started making corned beef and cabbage with carrots and potatoes many times a year. My brother and I love it.
