“Abide with Me” is a Christian hymn by Scottish Anglican cleric Henry Francis Lyte. A prayer for God to stay with the speaker throughout life and in death, it was written by Lyte in 1847 as he was dying from tuberculosis. It is most often sung to the tune “Eventide” by the English organist William Henry Monk. (Wikipedia)

Remember that high-dollar commode that SanFran was going to put in for their residence-challenged folks. Over 18 months, $1.7M and it’s still not done. The crapper deal is in the crapper….

Ol’ Jer sure is glad there’s TeeVee money, or his balance sheet wouldn’t look near as good. I’m pretty sure within a couple years he’s gonna sound like Brain-Freeze when he’s interviewed.

I don’t know why God won’t give me a bunch of money. I keep thinking it would be a good experiment, see if a lot of money really does make an idiot out of you. I still think I’d stand up to the strain.

But even I have to admit, the odds do not look good. And, I guess I’d start in the whole, it’s not like my pot ain’t already got a crack in it.

Ha! Sent this to my oldest son, who used to be a Cowgirls fan. Then they went one thug too many, apparently, and it was the straw that broke his back. Anyhow, we don’t let him live it down.

      History of the kazoo:

Voice-changing and vibrating instruments, much like the kazoo, have been played for hundreds of years for ceremonial purposes in Africa. These instruments were called mirlitons, or “onion flutes.”

A popular anecdote suggests that Alabama Vest, a formerly enslaved person residing in Macon, Georgia, designed the modern kazoo in 1840 in collaboration with German clock manufacturer Thaddeus Von Clegg. The kazoo was formally named the “Clegghorn.” Because the pair introduced their musical invention to the Georgia State Fair in 1852, the kazoo is commonly considered an American invention, despite its African origins. Many kazoo enthusiasts have continuously petitioned to make the kazoo the National Instrument of the United States, though in 1885, the Telegraph referred to the kazoo as a “new nondescript musical instrument of torture.”

Good afternoon, Czarina! Blueberry pancakes are scrumptious. Just don’t try playing the kazoo when you’re entering private data to your computer after such a breakfast unless you’ve been fortified with blueberry wine.

A few days ago I posted an article about a city council member outside of CHI who wanted to do a sign-up sheet for people to house e-legals in their town. Mrs. T saw a TV report a day or two ago that indicated the guy was an R and was being a smart-*ss because he recalled seeing all the FJB campaign signs for 2020 and figured they all wanted to help. So, his comments were a bit tongue-in-cheek. To date no one has signed up to help though. 😉

Not sure how many of you may have seen the stupid oozing out of Snopes once again, but either last night or this morning they threw down one of their famous “fact-checks” about Brain-Freeze wearing his hard hat backwards. Apparently, they got BLASTED on social media and came back and changed their mind.

Evening All. It was in the high 30*’s this morning and got up into the 40’s.

I was finally able to get to Church and then spent the afternoon with my family. I got to hold the baby for a long time. He is almost 7 weeks now, I believe, and has gained 3 lbs. He is also smiling and even laughed. His sisters seem to really adore him and give him kisses and try to get him to smile at them. Loki, however, feels that I should not be giving any attention to the new “puppy”. She seems to believe that he doesn’t even smell right. LOL

Hope the rest of your day is great.
