I wonder who was running the Defense Department . . .

Secretary Austin was in the hospital, in the ICU, and apparently no one in the White House, National Security Council or State Department was aware. At the same time, the Deputy Secretary of Defense was on vacay. So was President Biden.

    after all this time it is amazing no one has still not voiced the obvious – biden et al are just the show ponies. the worker bees were all still hard at work.

    NPR did an interview yesterday with Leon Panetta,, a former SecDef, and all they focused on was what was the diagnosis. Seems more important to know who was in charge, and to criticize the lack of communication.
