        Good afternoon, aus! I hadn’t either. It’s making the rounds among a whole bunch of email groups and I received it from a pal in Colorado who has a wonderful sense of humor. He’s also a very informed Conservative. So we get along fabulously.

    Happy Saturday, kids! It’s New Year’s Eve eve and we’re gonna have to be strong heading into this Alice in Wonderland world we are living in. Coffee’s up and running all day! Come grab some and take a gander as we highlight some more stupidity by the public and politicians alike.

    IMO just more proof of our 2-tiered justice system. SBF-50 will not see any further charges for the millions of dollars he donated to one side of the system. We all know which side and I’m pretty sure this lets the pols know that they will never have to give it back. Shocking, I tell ya!

    As if we needed any……….More proof that politicians cannot get anything right. NY Guv veto to put pot growers out of business in NY. Unless she’s doing that so her friends can come in and scoop up “businesses” for pennies on the dollar. Which wouldn’t surprise me. I’m not a big fan of weed, but there is nothing these people can’t destroy.

    Mornin’ All. Got up earlier this morning because Spectrum was supposed to come between 9:00 and 12:00. Well, when I finally looked at my emails there was a new one saying they would be here between 12:00 and 1:00. I am not upset about it. I just called yesterday and they made this appt. then. When I was in Florida, you would wait sometimes weeks to get somebody out.

    There is no snow, but everything is white from the fog and below 32* Temp. I have no idea what the temp is, but it is really pretty out. My thermometer died completely. I figured I would go over to Walmart to pick up a new battery but haven’t gotten there yet. Let”s just say it is cold.

    I am looking forward to the first of the year. I know all sorts of things are supposed to be worse, but waiting around for it is hard. I am ready to jump in at the deep end of the pool on a cold day. But, that is really a stupid attitude, I guess.

    I love seeing the photos of the cathedral interiors, such a wonderful presentation of the “art” that’s featured in nature itself–the arcs, the beginnings of an angle, the terminus of a feature, blended together, beautiful.

    I’m reminded of the effort, research, and practice that Michelangelo put into painting the human hand….the best of art seems to be, basically, the imitation of what God has already expressed. The same pattern seems to be present in the most glorious music.

      I love the part when she realizes the gift is going to be for her. There is a look of disbelief and joy at the same time.

      Jimmy generally works out of southern California. Illegals are now going to get “free” health care while lower middle economic working class citizens are getting shafted further. I wouldn’t be surprised if her working hours have been cut so the business can hire under-the-table folks who need to be deported instead.

        Or maybe she works for one of those Pizza places that can no longer afford to pay delivery services because of the requirement that they pay $20/hr. There are so many ignorant/cruel/clueless/power-hungry people who are deciders. And it has destroyed us.

          When you think what California could have been had the state not gone insane leftie, whoa! As of a year ago even with the domestic left trying to ruin the state, it was the 5th largest economy in the world. Amazing.
