    Sometimes I think that the rules against being a grammar Nazi should be lifted, if for no other reason than to educate the readers, many of whom are very likely as clueless as the writer.

    Here’s a headline from Gateway Pundit this morning:

    Catholic Priest Fatally Stabbed to Death in His Church Rectory in Nebraska – Suspect Arrested at the Scene, Priest Made 911 Call

    Don’t you just hate when that happens….for crying out loud, the stabber could have just fatally stabbed the priest. There is no need to fatally stab him to DEATH.

    I’m going back to bed now. I actually do have a headache.

      It’s racist to expect her thesis to have been original.

      All jokes aside, this morning I was thinking back on my work history, and thinking about the last few years of being told that it is racist to expect certain people to be on time, that accuracy in work is a “white concept,” that expecting good attendance and performance is evidence of white bias, blah, blah.

      And I wonder why any workers would be okay with picking up the slack for that vaunted class of people labeled POC, while getting paid maybe the same.

      No thank you. Why in the world would I be motivated to work with minorities and have a good working relationship with them?

      I never have been, and can’t conceive of being a person who doesn’t care about my performance. I also care about my team’s performance. And I’m not doing their work because …color.

        So………….let me aks you this? Is it ok if I identify as one of those people who just can’t get to work on time and have a real tough time making sure I do the work correctly? Is that appropriation, since I have a pasty complexion? Asking for a friend.

        Good afternoon, Menagerie! The convoluted thinking goes like this…slaves, as a “protest”, worked as little as they could get away with. Now, I understand that motivation. If someone is holding you against your will, you have every human right to either try to escape, work slowly, ruin equipment, etc.

        But, come on, saying that’s the reason you have a culture which encourages employees to not show up on time is just a sign that a person has been brainwashed into thinking he’s still a slave. In today’s atmosphere, pride in doing one’s best and gaining a good work record is often thought of as simply “white” Western culture and to be shunned (interesting how a person can pick and choose which items to use that were invented and created by Western culture. I mean, dang, give up your cars, and anything else attributed to white culture).

        I’m thankful I worked in the years before all this excusing poor and bad behavior was the rage. Most blacks I associated with during my working life did not have this attitude. They were team players, worked hard and took pride and even joy in a job well-done like any other sensible and caring person.

      Texan, she’s in pretty famous company with the plagiarizing bit. That should get her an easy job with Brandon in case she gets “released” from the Cambridge, MA-based institution. They can compare notes.

    Our “political class” are such weasels and wussies. Mittens wants Manchin to run for Prez, but doesn’t want to endorse him because that would be the kiss of death…..Grow a pair, Willard. Stand for something. Anything. I’m sick and tired of having 535 weather vanes in DC acting like they’ll fix something, or actually give a rat’s rear about any one of us plebians out here in flyover country.

    This is getting annoying. I typed a comment and it disappeared. I am having to sign in with my email and name for each comment. Is anyone else still doing this? The biggest problem is my eyes don’t focus very well for a few hours after I get up so it is hard for me to tell if I put in the correct letters. I keep trying different things, but nothing else seems to work.

    For many years I have purchased this item at Walmart, at about $9 per box. There are 48 in a box, so I would break them in half and get 96 fireplace starts.

    I got rid of several lines of stuff, so don’t know if that will work as a link – – – For the last year, they have not been available at Walmart at all and now, I see online they are $45 for the identical box.

    I still have one un-opened box that I paid $9.00 for, because I used the “stimulus checks” to stock up on everything normally purchased….

    I have a lot to say but it all comes from the heart. Tomorrow, our defense’s FINAL witness will testify in my SHAM TRIAL in New York. And as this trial nears its conclusion, no one can deny that the American people have witnessed the absolute destruction of our once free Republic.

    Make no mistake, this is how dictatorships are born.

    With your own eyes, you’ve seen the ruling party (Crooked Joe’s regime) weaponize the legal system to try and destroy its leading opponent by any means possible – whether that be the “corporate death penalty,” removing my name from the ballot, financial ruin, or even LIFE in prison as a completely innocent man.

    This trial was rigged from the start…

    …No jury to hear my case and a Radical Democrat judge will single-handedly decide my fate.

    It’s nothing more than a witch hunt designed by Crooked Joe’s accomplices to force me into the courtroom and OFF the campaign trail with voting set to begin just 5 WEEKS from today.

    But as we will soon await the verdict in this sham trial, I want you to know that even during such a dark time for our country, I’m not worried in the slightest. And my confidence that we will DEFEAT Crooked Joe has never been higher!
