Good afternoon, Czarina! Serving gazpacho to miners so they won’t have to visit the pawn shop to hock the inherited family silver candlesticks just to eat (or buy mittens for kiddies) is a great idea for St. Nicholas Day.

And prayers for the women who have been violently abused also should be given on the day St. Nicholas is remembered for his kindnesses.

I’m all tore up about this. We might as well just shut everything down. Liz is contemplating running for POTUS…..if that’s what it takes to stop Trump from becoming Dictator of the World…..or something. It ain’t just the LGBTQRSTUV+ people who are mentally ill.

Temps won’t settle here. We go down to 30’s to 50’s at night, then 50’s to 70’s in the daytime. I put the down comforter on one night and throw it off the next!

So…..K-Mac is gonna take his ball and go home at the end of the year. I love how these spoiled brats will take everything else down with them, but they kicked Santos out and now this………with a 4 seat majority. These RINO’s will burn their own house down just to show everyone how mad they really are. P*ssy!

Time and again we get shown clearly that victory is not the mission of the Republican Party. I’m telling you, as I’ve said since Romney was forced on us (and though long before that), we are the abused wife who keeps going back to the husband with the hard punches.

We keep telling ourselves it’ll be better, we have no choice, blah, blah. I hoped that President Trump, would utterly destroy the Republican Party, and when he backed off and threw his lot in with them, I knew it was his biggest mistake. It can’t be done now, I don’t believe, but at one point, I think he had the best shot we’ve ever had to bring the bas….. down.

I’m not naive or uninformed. I know what it takes to build a party, and getting votes is the easy part. The organization, wealth, connections, and sheer power it takes to get through the political apparatus and get on the ballot is astounding.

I don’t care. We are getting nothing at all for our money or our vote.

Afternoon, Miss Stella! I’m about to the point where I would suggest we stop all this kabuki theater in DC. It just makes us mad and never accomplishes anything. LIke riding a merry-go-round and thinking it will get you to town.

Five and one half days without my computer…well, the computer was OK but my keyboard died. Did I survive? Barely! The withdrawal symptoms for online addiction are harrowing.

BUT I got my files in order, sorta; read three books (1 novel, 1 history on the Great Depression, and a memoir); yelled at Gretsky a couple of times just for meowing; and went on a crying jag…several times. However, I did NOT clean house as I was already depressed enough.

    L.I.F.E.!!!!!

Thanks, Stella! Five days of not knowing what was going on in the world probably was a blessing in disguise. I haven’t had the TV on in many months and turned out it was not working; I’ll take my time calling the cable company. Radio reception is terrible here and the last time I turned that on was when Rush was still broadcasting. So isolation was my lot.

Had to call a friend to get her to look up Apple’s number since I don’t have a “do-everything” cell phone and the “directory” at the cable company couldn’t figure out what I was asking and gave me a wrong number…LOL! I mean, how hard is it to provide the phone of a nearby Apple Store?

However, I had a lovely time talking to the Apple customer relations/sales guy. As you would expect from such a company, everyone was very efficient and their AI worked perfectly getting me to the right person.

This Is The Most Searched Christmas Candy Recipe In The South
Can you guess what it is?
    By Josh Miller

Southerners are the best Christmas candy makers. When the days turn colder, the candy thermometers come out, and the sweet world of holiday confections comes to life. And while you might think that classic Southern candies like divinity, pralines, or fudge might claim the top spot in the list of sought-after Christmas candies, you may be surprised that the most searched Southern Christmas candy is decidedly more decadent—rum balls!

Lemme tell you about the cupcakes we like at Christmas. They’ve got Guinness, Jameson, and Bailey’s all in them. Recipe calls for a few glugs or soof Jameson and a tiny bit of Baileys.

My glugs and tiny bits might not be what the original cook had in mind. Wonderful late Christmas treat for the tired, happy adults ready for our drinks.

Huh, I haven’t seen those in years. My mama and my aunt always used to make them. They are good, but I wouldn’t have pegged them at number one.

But, let’s be real here. I’m always shocked when I see some most looked for recipe for a dessert for any occasion and it doesn’t have chocolate.

Afternoon All. It has been just ugly here all day, foggy near water and at the base of the mountains, etc. But it is up in the low 40’s.

Got good news. My DIL gave birth to a big boy baby last night. He weighed in at 9 lbs 10 oz. ALL of her 4 children have been over 8 lbs 6 oz. He is 22 inches long and has THICK black hair. He looks like he is a week or two old. He started screaming the minute his head came out, so he is very healthy. Both are doing fine. It was a home birth with a midwife and all went very well. The three older sisters are thrilled………..along with the grandmothers.

    Glad everyone is here today.

    DECEMBER 05, 2023 – JUDICIAL WATCH

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today it received 44 pages of records in a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that show a close collaboration between DHS’s Cybersecurity and Information Security Agency (CISA) and the leftist Election Integrity Partnership (EIP) to engage in “real-time narrative tracking” on all major social media platforms in the days leading up to the 2020 election.

The records discuss “takedowns” of social media posts and the avoidance of creating public records subject to FOIA.
