I’m bummed out that I had to miss the penultimate game for the besaball guys from Arlington…………don’t call ’em Dallas. At least the pretty trophy stays in the state for another year. They looked like they could definitely beat Jerry’s kids. Good on ’em!

Growing up amongst the cornfields of Indiana, this man loomed large. I knew of a much different man than the one portrayed on the evening news. I knew of the man who made sure that his kids graduated from college unless they were going to make a fortune in the NBA.I knew the man that sat across from the parents of a kid he was recruiting and told that kid in front of momma and daddy that if you did what he asked you to do, he would back you up the rest of your life. I saw it first-hand with a schoolmate who played for him. My bud left IU with a Master’s Degree and a national championship ring. Bobby Knight was a human being with warts and problems just like the rest of us. The difference is that he worked on TV where we saw him at his job and everyone was there to point out every foible and failure. RIP, General.

Afternoon all. I didn’t want to get out of bed this morning. I slept very well and was nice and warm and just didn’t want to get up. It was supposed to snow this afternoon. Surprise! It snowed last night. It was misting either rain or snow when I took Loki out. She did her business and then went back to the door. Guess it felt too cold in the snow. It is 33* now and overcast. Yes, winter is here. I think winter has hit Florida, too. It was supposed to be 50* this morning. Ha!

I’m with the Dad on this one. No mention of the ages of these “kids”, but if I find anyone nekkid in my daughter’s room who had to sneak in the window, he’s gettin’ a beating! She might be heading to an internship at the local nunnery.
