Morning everyone. And brrr! It’s 45 here, and will get below 30 later this week. Winds blowing here too. Two days ago the trick or treaters could have gone out in mid 70s weather. Gonna be chilly tonight for the little ones.
Sadly, we get no doorbell rings. In the cabin we were tucked away on a secluded ridge with a long, long driveway. When we moved here we hoped to get some kids. But nowadays Halloween candy is a big deal, and even the news channels cover the neighborhoods where there are scary delights and lots of candy, and parents take their kids there.
I really miss getting to see all the excited little faces!

Good afternoon! Well, Indian summer is officially over. We had our first frost last night, and my daughter reports from Chicago that they have snow flurries today. Brrr!

Ha! It appears that I beat all of you. It is 26* now at 11:30 AM and we have already had snow several times. It was down below 10* a few nights ago. Glad my heater is working. I don’t mind the cold, because even though I have to go out in it, I get to see my granddaughters’ precious faces and that warms me up.
Afternoon All. Got to get dressed and ready for the bus to take me to get my eyes checked for new glasses. I called the bus because they will dilate my eyes and I just cannot see to drive home. Ttay he bus is such a wonderful service and it picks me up right at the door.

We’re looking at 87* by next Monday. We’ll have a few days of nice fall weather and then summer will rear it’s ugly head once more. 😦

I don’t know if any of you ever followed Buffy Ste. Marie, listened to her music etc. This video by the CBC claims that she is a fake Indian, or what they call a “pretendian”. Apparently they have proof that she was not adopted, and that her parents are white (Italian and English). She was born in the USA, not Canada. I still like her music btw, even if she is a fake Indian.

Me too, but I’m not a real Indian. Besides, there is something pretty nasty about pretending that you are adopted; it’s a slap in the face to your real family. Then there is Elizabeth Warren . . .

ADD2: Did you get the part where she threatened her brother (via a note given to her attorney)? If he revealed that she was white, she would say that he is a pedophile.

Me too. Just have to figure out how to silence Tucker. He will put his nose under the drapes and bark at everybody. And we get LOTS of beggars, mostly Detroiters who van the kids in. I stopped giving out candy a couple of years ago.

First year I lived in this apartment complex it had just opened and no one knew if the kids would show up. So I bought a bunch of chocolate bars, turned on the porch light and waited. Not one stop-by from any of ’em.
Guess who was forced to eat all the candies. It was soooo hard (sniff, sniff!) but somebody had to do it.

I love on a dead end road in the middle of nowhere, with a dark 800’ driveway,, and no lights on the front of the house. If the dogs bark, maybe it’ll scare them away. Love “ we’re old, we’re tired, get off our lawn”!!!

Had a really fun happening today. I was searching for a reasonably priced nice piece of silver jewelry for a Christmas present.
So I went to JTV (Jewelry Television, for those who are not addicted to such trinkets), found a ring in the right size, went to check-out and there was a notice that I had until November 30 to use the “Cash Rewards” which I didn’t even remember was in my account. So, in essence, I got the ring for FREE! Yippee!
