Statistics Norway, the government agency that produces official statistics for that country, released a report last month titled “To what extent are temperature levels changing due to greenhouse gas emissions?” The report concludes:
[T]he results imply that the effect of man-made CO2 emissions does not appear to be sufficiently strong to cause systematic changes in the pattern of the temperature fluctuations. In other words, our analysis indicates that with the current level of knowledge, it seems impossible to determine how much of the temperature increase is due to emissions of CO2.

And, I always remember that they tried to scare us to death back in the 70’s with stories of NYC being under a glacier and we would all have moved to South America because of the cold………within about 10 to 20 years.

I never liked the Elm Street series. In fact, I totally avoided it. The whole idea of the story was too scary for me. I liked the old horror movies with Lon Chaney, Vincent Price, etc. I was good with those. However, I did see the old silent Nosferatu film. It about scared me out of my mind and I was grown.

Good morning, Czarina! Yes, to the Boston Cream Pie…but forget the iPods. Love the horror movies from the 1930s like “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde”, “Frankenstein” and “Dracula.” However, I’ve never even seen Jack Nicholson’s “The Shining,” but Hitchcock’s “Psycho” is worth watching over and over.
TV Talk Show Host Day is one of the worst ideas to celebrate in 2023 since most if not all hate MAGA and us.
And the San Juan Capistrano swallows are so adorable. They do still come and go but apparently not in the numbers they once did.

That one scene from The Shining that they show over and over of his face through the door freaks me out. I don’t even remember seeing the move. But I saw Psycho when it first came out. After that I never wanted to take a shower unless somebody else was in the house. Thank goodness, I am finally mostly over that. 😯

Afternoon All. It got chilly last night, low 40’s or more. It rained and somehow it was dripping on the top of my heat pump/AC unit. There is a patio above me and it wasn’t even raining on my patio, so I don’t know what was going on. I don’t guess it made any difference, although, I never seem to know when it is raining, so this might be a good thing for me. 🙄
I am so happy this morning. Yesterday, my son and DIL picked up a washer/dryer and 4 snow tires for me. They were all at a great price and work. My son installed the washer/dryer and I am so pleased with it. It is a dryer on top unit and is not too old. So, this winter I won’t have to shlep down to the laundromat in the snow. The whole family came and we had chicken salad sandwiches that my DIL made and apples and chips. It was fun to watch the 3 girls help dad moving things out of the way. They are all good little helpers, even the 3 yr old. Anyway, no more whining about doing the laundry. 🙂

Yeah, I was a little overwhelmed with getting two things I needed so badly before the snow hits. And, that was supposed to be later this week, but has moved up to tomorrow afternoon.
And, I am so proud of my son and his family.

We are certainly blessed to have children who are responsible and caring. I thank God every day for my daughter. She has a successful career and has raised two fine sons. She is not living close to me, but she helps me when she can.

I did my laundry yesterday, and spent a couple of hours today switching summer and winter wardrobes, and setting aside clothing I no longer wear, like, or want. I got two big trash bags full of clothes to donate, and I’m not done yet! I know I have some coats and jackets that I don’t wear any more, and someone else can certainly use them.
You would think that after last spring’s clear out I wouldn’t have so much to get rid of, but I do!
