I watch Midsummer Murders and on quite a few shows I heard this weird sound that I didn’t recognize. I finally found out that it was foxes and they must have a lot of them there.

It’s cool and overcast here. Rain coming in later….so I gotta get the big back yard cut before that. And often I think, as I come back in after mowing and look out the window at the nice clean look of the newly trimmed grass, “It’s growing, y’know, Sharon. It’s growing. Right now.”

Dr. Mercola is at it again. This article talks about his take on cholesterol and statins. Spoiler alert………..he’s not a fan of pharma. At first I thought he was pretty much a quack, but as I’ve gone down many a rabbit hole, I’m much more aligned with his way of thinking.

Couldn’t read the article, but it is an compelling subject. Statins to control congenital plaque over-production is so far the primary solution. It would be nice if research could determine a healthier alternative. Taking CoQ10 mitigates the side effects of statins, by the way, as well as being an effective supplement for aging in general.

Afternoon All. It was 45*, clear and sunny when we got up. The sun is so bright, I can’t even describe it. It is a beautiful day. May be the calm before the storm. I see snow showers in the weatherguessers’ forecast for next week.
I talked to a friend who has a sister who must be getting dementia. She has always been bad about falling for scams and sending money. This time she says she is on X talking to Elon Musk. She says he is in love with her 🙄 and wants to run away with her. Then he asked for $8,000 for her to join his fan club or something. Of course she sent it. Really sad. She will be completely broke soon. There doesn’t seem to be any way to stop her. Just watch out for emails, etc. that could be scams. And, screen your phone calls.
Can’t believe that another week has flown by. Enjoy your day.

Good afternoon, mom! That is so sad about your friend’s sister. I know I’ve mentioned it before, but my newer V-Tech phone (land line) has a feature called Smart Call Block. The way it works is that any caller that is in your “Allow” list/address book automatically rings through. There is also a “block” list. Any other call is stopped by a gate keeper. They must announce who they are, and if they do I have the option of either accepting or rejecting the call. I hardly ever get spam calls.

Cool. My message on my answer machine must be pretty effective because I hardly ever get them any more. Years ago I was getting between 6 and 10 a day with a lot of repeats.

I like the call block because the phone doesn’t ring unless the caller announces their name and presses the # key. It’s like they aren’t even there!
