This falls under the category “everything isn’t awful”, I think.

That’s hilarious….watching someone thinkin’ on his feel while munchin’ on an apple–and casually reducing the goofy “journalist” to sputtering…and finally actually forcing the gj to ask a simple (not loaded) question that he could easily answer.

If you’ve been in a bit of a funk, besides the fact that our betters are ruining our Country, you might want to have your B12 levels checked. Apparently, it’s quite common, and often, easily remedied.

I take a B-complex vitamin daily, but it can be that you don’t produce enough of the enzyme protein necessary to digest B12 (called intrinsic factor.) Before this was discovered, people died of pernicious anemia. Both my maternal grandfather and his sister died of this in the early 1920’s. These days, injections of B12 take care of it.

For thirty years I have taken a dropper full of B 12 every other day. I started it to give me an energy boost, then the neurologist said Czar’s mom needed it to stop her from falling over (just walking along and fell over couple of times per day) and the liquid placed under the tongue worked best because the stomach acids reduce a pill’s efficacy, and the intestines don’t process it as efficiently as the mucous membranes. Grandma stopped falling over after about two weeks of dosing. Most old people are deficient in B12 despite good diet.

Until a few years ago, I had a sort of delightful neighbor. A lady in her early 90s who was pretty spry and spunky. When I was going blueberry picking in the spring, I thought she might enjoy the outing, so invited her to come with.

As she smiled and accepted the invitation, she said, “Well, I need to tell you, sometimes I fall down in a sort of a faint without any notice.”

Oh. Ok. So I asked, “How can I help you if that were to happen?”

“Oh. It’s not a problem. I can get up again after a little bit.”

Well, all-righty then! So off we went berry-pickin. She didn’t fall down and we had a fine time.

I always try to remember to check and make sure I have clothes on before I go out. I always do, although a couple of times I went out with the clothes inside out. So, now I check that, too. And, I would love to have a chocolate cupcake…..with chocolate icing.

Good day, Czarina…boo on a National No Beard Day. If this guy has red hair, the women would be getting the vapors when he came into view….sigh….

I’d be happy to share a chocolate cupcake with him, especially if he’s a medical assistant or paramedic.

Afternoon All. It was 40* this AM when we got up and is now up to 56* and cloudy. Still nice outside, though.

They are supposed to pour the concrete for the walkways today. They poured it for the front walkways yesterday afternoon and said they will do between the buildings this afternoon. I called my neighbor who works and let her know so she wouldn’t go off to work through her door and lock it. Then, when she came home this evening, she wouldn’t be able to get to her door until later tonight or the next morning. Her only way out will be the sliding glass door which has no lock. She is not happy. Neither am I. I am supposed to go pick out new eyeglass frames with my DIL this afternoon and I will have to leave the sliding glass door unlocked.

It took them 3 weeks to do the other building because they would do a little then disappear for a week, then come back and do a little more. And, they did most of this work yesterday, so it could have been done faster.

    Well, have a nice day.

Remember all the hubbub about corona rearing its ugly head. Not to worry. There’s something much worse lurking out there………….Yellow fever, malaria, and dengue fever COULD be making a comeback. Last time we had a yellow fever outbreak was in 1905 and 5,000 people got sick and 1,000 died. Stay indoors. Wear your mask, don’t talk to anyone and get some sort of vaccination…………..please. Or we’re all gonna die………..again!
