Our wealthy “representatives”

Following the death of Dianne Feinstein, here is an announcement of her assets, which are being passed on to her four daughters.

While much of her estate was inherited from her husband, her personal net worth is believed to be at least $70 million.

Question: How does a woman who has been earning the relatively modest salary of a Senator for decades amass an estate like this one?

From the New York Post:

But this year, after his [her husband, Richard Blum] death in February 2022, and as her own health publicly failed, an ugly dispute among the couple’s children cast new light on their fortune and raised the prospect of a court battle over the estate.

Just thought about the pharaohs taking everything into the tombs so they could use it in the afterlife.  Bet that would be a disaster for the daughters …
