I remember going camping in the high desert back in the 70’s and when I crawled out of our tent, everything was pink, the sky, the ground, the rocks, everything. It was amazing.

We’re getting some rain finally. Unfortunately, the first 10 minutes of it contained frozen ice balls. Can’t wait to see what that did when daylight hits.

I hope a whole lot of the senators show up in ridiculous clothes, including bathing suits and clown suits, and make the point this is a really bad idea so the rule gets changed back. This is not accommodating Fetterman’s disability, just his disrespect for tradition and his fellow senators.

Good morning, everybody! Tucker has an appointment late this morning with a new vet. They are supposed to be a “Fear Free” practice, and my neighbor takes her dog there. I hope it works out well. They are close by, so that is a plus.

I am switching to a vet who charges less for people who can’t afford the expensive ones. And, I feel like I have been had by the one I have been going to. I like them, but they are so expensive.

I know what you mean. Vet bills have been going up and up the past few years. This vet seems nice. They are emailing me the bill, so I’ll see if they are less or more expensive than the last one.

When I was in Florida, I had Loki’s molars pulled and it cost me $500. I had to have her final 4 canines pulled when I got here, which are much smaller and easier to take out, and I paid $800 here. I went to this vet because it was easy to find and had a good recommendation and I was so new to the area. But, their charges are very high. One good thing here, the rabies and other vaccines are good for 3 years. It is hard in Florida to get a vet to say their vaccine is for more than one year. And, it is the SAME vaccine.

Rabies and distemper are 3-year vaccines here too. Tucker is good on those until next year.
One thing the vet pointed out to me is that dog foods that contain legumes (peas, lentils) and potatoes are linked to canine dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), which a serious and often fatal condition that eventually causes congestive heart failure, especially in medium to large breeds.
I am changing his food. More expensive food (of course). Another thing she recommended is dried sweet potato dog treats. They are good for cleaning his teeth.

I’ll look for those treats. The trainer I used for Hannah all but demanded I stop feeding Purina and use Four Health instead. He says it has better nutrition and they eat less.

I ordered the treats from Amazon, but they are probably cheaper if you can find them in your local store.

Afternoon All. I slept really well last night because it was pretty cool. It is nice outside now. It was cloudy and overcast when we got up, but the sky is clearing off and it is warming up fast.
Well, I was able to get a lot done in that extra room last week and got rid of a lot and have some to take to a Goodwill. So I will continue that effort this week. The dentist is going to try again to fix my gap where the tooth came out. Hope it works this time. And, I am taking soup over to my son’s. I hope I can give my very pregnant DIL a little time off her feet. She is getting big. 🙄 She sure doesn’t act like that is a problem, but I want to at least help a little.

If only Michelle would produce some pictures of her actually pregnant with daughters Sasha and Malia, the internet roared, the entire salacious matter could finally be put to rest.
Well, ask and you shall receive… -ish.
“BREAKING: Michelle Obama silences ALL conspiracy theorists and demands a universal apology after FINALLY releasing glowing pregnancy photos when she was expecting Sasha and Malia,” one user on X proclaimed.
Along with the caption were four photos of Michelle looking as though her water was about to break, her hands lovingly resting on her very pregnant belly.
More surprising to many than the images of Michelle Obama pregnant was the fact that she apparently has six fingers.
Others wondered why she appeared to be over 50 years old in the shots.
“Probably the worst photoshopped images I’ve ever seen,” stated one user on X.
