Theme in Yellow
By Carl Sandburg
I spot the hills
With yellow balls in autumn.
I light the prairie cornfields
Orange and tawny gold clusters
And I am called pumpkins.
On the last of October
When dusk is fallen
Children join hands
And circle round me
Singing ghost songs
And love to the harvest moon;
I am a jack-o’-lantern
With terrible teeth
And the children know
I am fooling.

:0) It was probably easier calling it “Six Sunflowers” than it was calling it “Five Sunflowers and One Zinnia”

Iran’s Khamenei Crows About America’s Decline as He Counts the Billions Biden Sent Him
By Robert Spencer – September 14, 2023
The timing of the Biden regime’s announcement that it was sending six billion dollars to Iran in exchange for five American hostages was fitting: the announcement came last Monday, Sept. 11. The Biden regime handing over billions to a rogue Islamic regime that will certainly use it to aid jihad groups internationally and choosing Sept. 11 as the date of the announcement was emblematic of its willful ignorance and capitulation to jihad forces. And now Iran’s Supreme Leader, the Ayatollah Khamenei, is rubbing it in, crowing about America’s decline and weakness as he counts his American billions. Thanks, Joe!

Well, WeeWeed, if any righty thinks this is gonna outrage the Left and make them leave Bidenhandler’s agenda in record numbers, it’s dreamworld time.
Shouldn’t enabling our enemies be an impeachable offense? I seem to recall lefties used that against someone in the not-too-distant past.
Let’s have a great day in spite of it all.

Took GGS to the county fair and rodeo last night. Well attended rodeo portion: calf roping, barrel racing, bull and bronc riding. Midway with the usual kiddie rides and junk food. FFA and school participation with arts and crafts; small animals not well represented, just a few chickens and rabbits, one quail. Several cows. Best dressed doggies and some cat competitions for the littles.

Do they have horse races, Czarina? Ours did until Covid hit. Now, very limited rodeo…diminutive fair overall. So sad the damage done.

Me, too! My youngest nephew was a bronc rider at the Calgary Stampede. When he got married, wifey put a stop to it indicating that his broken arm and shoulder days were over.

One of my best friends was married to a bronc rider. Several years after they divorced he was kicked in the head again. He had been kicked the first time in the same spot right after they married and he was told not to ride anymore. This time he became almost a vegetable and had to be put in a home. I don’t know how long he survived after that, but it was several years until he died. It was very sad.

Yes, sad. I know this sport is very popular, but safety matters need to be taken more seriously, with the head protected at all times. There are ways that protection could be made part of the act, with the hats exaggerated for a good laugh from the audience.

Before I met him Czar rode in the rodeo in Ogden. Don’t know about injuries.

Presidential commentary from the Trump Campaign today….
It was only a matter of time…
…Right as national polling averages showed that we’re CRUSHING Biden and on path to achieve an ELECTORAL LANDSLIDE in 2024, Crooked Joe is asking the Court to impose a GAG ORDER on me to limit my public statements.
I’m a former U.S. President. I’m the frontrunner for the Republican nomination for the presidency. I’m the leading candidate for the White House in 2024…
…And yet – the Department of Justice is asking an Obama-appointed judge to RESTRICT MY PUBLIC STATEMENTS on the Biden Administration’s corruption? In other words, Joe Biden is trying to stop his leading opponent (me) from publicly speaking out against him and his corrupt, radical, and incompetent regime.
Our once Free Republic is DYING!
Last month, these Communists illegally indicted me twice, they wrongfully arrested me twice, and they forced me to take a mugshot to make me look like Public Enemy #1.
But the American people were wise enough to see right through their dirty tactics – and our movement emerged stronger than ever before.
This month, they’re sharpening their attacks by attempting to GAG me and rip my First Amendment rights to shreds.
These Communists can try and come after me all they want, but they can NEVER GAG the American people!
No matter how much we’re attacked, the Silent Majority will NEVER SURRENDER our mission to Make America Great Again!
Donald J. Trump
45th President of the United States

TX AG Paxton acquitted on all 16 charges. Votes for most went pretty much along party lines. Now, I have to find out what we shall do to my State Rep. who led this charge. *sshole.

This malicious prosecution is so terrible. Let’s remember to keep Mayor Giuliani in our prayers….
Roger Stone: The Crucifixion of Rudy Giuliani
September 16, 2023 8:15 am
On the week of the 22nd anniversary of 9/11, former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, once a universally beloved figure, is under siege in a manner that would have seemed wholly unfathomable in the aftermath of the World Trade Center attacks. The former Mayor is being legally, financially and publicly crucified.

Well, two Republican women are now under attack – Lauren Boebert and Kristi Noem. While the conduct as described (not proven) is not admirable, I will say here what I said on Twitter (please excuse the language, used for effect). These are political hit jobs:
Bill Clinton had his dick sucked in the White House by a woman not his wife, and his followers continued to support him because it was “just sex”.
Are these attacks because they are women, are Republicans, or both? If they are representing their constituents effectively, and doing a good job, I don’t give a rat’s patootie about their private lives, even if it is all true.

Don’t know how many of you may be on LinkedIn, but they have a feature that comes up weekly and it tells you what companies have looked at your profile. This week, someone from the Eff-Bee-Eye took a gander at mine.. Hopefully, they stumbled there accidentally. I have not been in DC since 1998, BTW.
