Driving a Woodie to the beach (no caption, but I think it’s a Plymouth..whatever it is, I want it)…

    Have a beautiful day, Stellars!

Good Morning Stella and friends, I believe that is a 1946 Ford. Absolutely beautiful is what she is. Restoring a vehicle like this is an artform in and of itself. Humidity, temp, moisture content of the wood, all these factors change on an almost daily basis. What aligned yesterday doesn’t always align today so achieving that degree of restoration is amazing. For me the question is……where did he find what appears to be a blunt nosed wooden surf board to complete the project?

Have a wonderful day, and thank you for making mine with that photo…

You’re welcome, Gary! And thanks for the additional info.

You nailed it re being a Ford manufacture. Here’s a 1946 FORD SUPER DELUXE WOODY WAGON (and it looks like I’ve been misspelling Woody)….

Woodies were so stylish. Nothing like them now.

Stylish, but high maintenance that a normal person wouldn’t want. I crewed on a sailboat with a LOT of mahogany brightwork, and – fun once and when you’re young, but very time consuming.

So, let’s all put on our hats, jump into the woody, and head to the beach. I call first dibs on the swing.

What possible reason are the Dems going to give as to why V.P. Biden used a pseudonym? Or are they just going to ignore it and go into silent mode as usual when it comes to Joey Crooked?

National Archives admits it has 5,400 Biden pseudonym emails from his vice presidency
    By Victor Nava – August 28, 2023 9:57pm

The National Archives and Records Administration has admitted that it is in possession of nearly 5,400 emails, electronic records and documents that potentially show President Biden using a pseudonym during his vice presidency, it was revealed on Monday.

Just love these wild creatures of the Namib Desert. At the beginning, the animal who runs quickly away when he sees the hyenas coming is a jackal…

…he remains in the background watching. Soon he also observes another bolder jackal coming up to the manmade pool while one hyena remains drinking and bathing. But only when the observer jackal sees the hyenas leave, does he get up and start to join the new jackal at the pool. However, the vid ends before we see that, although I have a feeling that it happened.

Did not know there was a hierarchy for jackals and hyenas. Hyenas must be badder.

Good morning, czarina! Hyenas are apparently quite intelligent. The mighty homely predators are fierce in fulfilling their place in the food chain. Their main enemies are lions who consider them quite a delicacy.

How nice they are brown and nobody feels they have to have the mud washed off when they get done. Hannah ran off to the lake and REALLY got muddy this morning, requiring an enforced bath.

Mornin’, kids. Looks like much of this world we are living in is held together with duct tape and baling wire. British PM resigning…..primarily because he “forgot” to mention how much his wife is actually worth and her connections to some semi non-disclosed family businesses, that he happened to be negotiating with for more business. Worth, as in hundreds of millions of dollars worth.

Mornin’ All. In the low 50’s and sunny here. It is so weird that in FL that would feel so cold and here a sweatshirt is good enough. And, it warms up to the high 80’s later in the day. I am loving this weather.

Hope all of you in the path of the storm are ready for it. There are so many people new to FL and may not be prepared. Prayers for everyone’s safety.

How does this woman get away with showing her bias so openly? Who censures a judge who does so? Is there still time for President Trump’s attorneys to file?

Judge Chutkan Likens Trump Case to Boston Marathon Bombing and 9/11
By Kristinn Taylor Aug. 29, 2023 11:00 am

Investigative reporter Julie Kelly posted an excerpt from U.S. District Judge for the District of Columbia Tanya Chutkan discussing ordering a March 4, 2023 trial date for President Trump in the case brought by Special Counsel Jack Smith over Trump contesting the 2020 presidential election in which Chutkan compared the Trump trial to those of defendants in the Boston Marathon Bombing and 9/11 terrorist attacks.

I just looked it up: 28 U.S. Code § 144 – Bias or prejudice of judge

Whenever a party to any proceeding in a district court makes and files a timely and sufficient affidavit that the judge before whom the matter is pending has a personal bias or prejudice either against him or in favor of any adverse party, such judge shall proceed no further therein, but another judge shall be assigned to hear such proceeding.

The affidavit shall state the facts and the reasons for the belief that bias or prejudice exists, and shall be filed not less than ten days before the beginning of the term at which the proceeding is to be heard, or good cause shall be shown for failure to file it within such time. A party may file only one such affidavit in any case. It shall be accompanied by a certificate of counsel of record stating that it is made in good faith.
