Thank ye kindly, I’ll have one s iced coffee.
Got up before 7 a.m., got GGS to help load the ATV trailer with bins full of water to drive down the 800’ driveway and water the very droopy azaleas. Trailer came apart and is now terminal, can’t remember where we bought it so I’ll start at Tractor Supply. Put everything away before the temp rose above 90*. Taught GGS how to repair a hose. Took showers and now having a banana and milk.
If I get nothing else done today, it has been successful.

Those azaleas normally don’t need to be watered but suffering from the dry trend? Thinking that’s probably why they don’t have irrigation running to them.

Needed watering only the first year we planted them, then none since, 10-12 years of adequate rain. Area is currently at abut 1/2 the usual rainfall for the year.

S’what I thought. Well, at least this temporary. Our poor little azalea has been transplanted 3 times already and definitely needs water in the high desert! Such a beautiful flower, tho.

I have standard japonica pink and white ones, and a specialty Admiral Semmes yellow azalea which is more closely related to the original wild azaleas, which are yellow. They are native to the south.

I just listened to the Tucker Carlson rant about people in cities without nature who are not with the government’s program. This morning I spent an hour in nature with my trees and bushes in mostly silence, nourishing the plants and helping my GGS develop into a grownup. Tucker is right.

Good day, czarina! Though I’ve seen it in films, I’ve never seen in person anyone who did rock paper scissors. Who knows, maybe it’s not a West Coast thing? According to the website, “It dates back to the Chinese Han Dynasty, which began in 206 BC and ended in 220 AD.” And it came to the U.S. via the NEW YORK TIMES in 1932.
Re National Cinema Day, perhaps if they made better movies, more people would go to the cinema? Or made entertaining films with great talents like ROYAL WEDDING….
And anything made with peaches is wonderful…well, just because….

Afternoon All. Just got back from church. It was slightly cool out when I went. But it is warming up fast. Another clear blue sky.
Loki got out yesterday. I don’t know if I left the screen door open or if she found a way to open it. But, I went into the bedroom and she didn’t follow me, so I came back and saw the screen was open. Then I knew why she had not barked when I heard some other dogs barking. I guess she was the one they were barking at. I went outside and called her, then found her by the front door with a look on her face like “what?”. I can’t believe that I left that open.
