    Afternoon All. The smoke from the fires is so bad I can’t see the mountains. It is pretty clear right here, but in some areas is really bad. And, it is hot. They say it should rain on Saturday and that is what we are hoping for. It would help tamp down the smoke and the fires.

    Something startled Loki last night. She likes to lie at the sliding glass door and look out. She jumped up and ran to the hallway and didn’t bark until she got there. Then, she sneaked back over to the door but stayed back a few feet and stared out the door. I have never seen her act like that. I wonder if she saw a mouse or something out there. She was pretty jumpy after that.

      It got really smokey here from the Canadian wildfires for a while. It was bad enough that I was coughing, and I ordered a small air purifier for the main part of the house. It helps a lot!

        For some reason it stays pretty clear right where I am. The smoke seems to collect over near the mountains. But, sometimes it is bad enough that I keep the windows closed.

      Good afternoon, aus! So far we’ve not had any smoke from the Canadian fires. It’s really hot here, though, and very dry today.

      Re Loki and her night visitor, bless her dear little heart. If you have raccoons in your area they are some likely culprits seeing as they are full-time night scavengers for food and water. And they are big enough to be scary…mice not so much.

    Good grief. We’ve recently seen prof’s fired for lying about studies they’ve “done”. This one might be a little more precarious. This guy got caught lying about his academic exploits………..while the acting head of the Southern Baptist Convention. Not the guy I want to get caught lying to. IYKWIM. 😉
