I marvel at how deep blue that sky is! When I fished the Madison River in Montana, that’s the sky I remember! That was in the mid 60’s. That’s a lot of Moons ago!
That rail shot is likely taken in Colorado, if I recall correctly. Outside chance of New Mexico. That railroad would be a nice bucket list item to ride. Maybe next year, sigh.
This looks like fun: August 26-27 the Loch Ness Centre in Scotland is holding the largest surface water search for Nessie since the 1970’s. Ought to be a whole bunch of fun people there!
About 1:25 it started thundering, then sky clouded up, and finally we got rain pretty steadily for onver an hour, totaling 2/10 th of an inch. Cooled from 102* to 82*. Unexpected and appreciated.
Veteran blown up in the suicidal Biden surrender of Afghanistan explains what it’s like to meet Joe:

Eat
National Mochi Day – this is a rice cake
National What-a-burger Day
Sneak some Zucchini into Your Neighbor’s Porch Day – who ever has too much zucchini…?
National Frozen custard Day
Be Merry and exercise:
National Pickleball Day
National Happiness Happens Day
National Dollar Day
International Infinity Day
National CBD Day – yes, the hemp product
Global Sleep Under the Stars Night
International Cat Day – no heading here b/c the cats will decide how we should celebrate them
Good day, czarina! Here’s another zucchini recipe…wow, these look good and would definitely add to that National Happiness Happens Day party being held on Your Neighbor’s Porch Day! The zucchini would also assist in retaining some dollars for National Dollar Day.
Pulled Pork-Stuffed Zucchini Boats
Tender zucchini hold tangy pulled pork and crisp slaw in a quick and easy dinner.
I can buy frozen pulled pork at my grocery. Just have to pick out the larger zucchini there ( most are uniformly smallish) unless the pop-up farmers’ market has some on Saturday.
Mornin’ All. Somewhat coolish, but warm in the sun which is beaming down. It is all the way up to 65* now at 10:00. I really love this weather. Yesterday I was checking the normal weather in this area and it said the normal high is 90* and the normal low is 12*. We went way past both of those last year. Wonder what this winter will bring? At least I know I am pretty much prepared for it this year.
Looks like today is going to be pretty much like yesterday. Still sorting and throwing out. Hope that awful weather I saw on TV yesterday missed you all.
Today was primary Election Day in MS. I went to my usual place, the Derby Fire Station, and found out I’d been moved during redistributing for local races. I now vote at the high school. Most races had one person on the ballot, not unusually.

It is the Cumbres & Toltec RR, which travels between Antonito, CO and Chama, NM. I have ridden on it, but that was a long time ago.

If you get down that way, don’t miss the Durango and Silverton NGRR either.

Good afternoon, Wee! If these folks weren’t so tiresome, they’d have no some at all.

I’ve definitely saved some cash not having the air conditioner running the whole day. We’re at 78 degrees and it’s fine in the apartment.

We had kittens like that once. The two-color eyes are good, because it means they aren’t deaf.

Have you been out to see any of the beautiful summer landscape in your area yet? Glacier National Park, maybe?

No. I haven’t this summer. That is a beautiful picture. We visited Glacier National Park last fall.
