Yes, love the follow-ups. It’s so heartwarming when you know no one is scamming and people are truly being helped off the streets.
I binge watched JimmyDarts yesterday on Instagram and had to stop after a while because it was all too emotional. There are slightly different video versions the various guys post at YouTube, TikTok or Instagram, and you often get a fuller picture of what the interaction was all about.

Yeah, sometimes that happens to me, too.
Mornin’ all ya’all. Clear and coolish, predicted to go to 100* today in NO, but it was 104* here yesterday on my porch. Rain came as predicted last night about 7:30, but it missed my house like it so often does and my yard remains dry.

<3. Thank you, I think she is adorable. Bless her little heart, I adopted an ugly duckling and she turned out to be a swan. 🙂

A great combo of “National Days.” Bless all those who take on protecting our beautiful parks and wild animals and do a good job of keeping the public informed on what is best for the land and the creatures, plus never forgetting they are servants of the people.
Though I love them, because of the high potassium content of avocados, I can’t eat them. However, avocado oil in cooking and on salads is permitted because in the processing it loses potassium. Unfortunately, the hundreds of seeds in raspberries put me off them even though the flavor is excellent.
As for National Mutt Day, may God keep them all in his care. Family dogs included 2 Boston Terriers and 1 mutt named Susie. My photo collection includes the Bosties but nothing of Susie. My personal dogs included 3 mutts and 1 Shih Tzu. Adorable characters all.

It is in the mid 60’s this morning, heading to mid 70’s I think. The sky is clear blue with cute little groups of puffy clouds here and there. People here are saying they are tired of the hot days. Usually there are only a few hot days at a time and it has been more than a week. I still think it is ok. 🙂
Not much going on this week. Hopefully something will open up. Going to do laundry today. Big whup! Later, Gators.

Afternoon, aus! We’re at 81 degrees heading to 88. Really a beautiful day in northern Idaho.
Love to take a trip to the Sawtooth Mountains in central Idaho…

Or visit Lake Pend Oreille and Sandpoint to the north of me….

And it’d be fun checking out this river property in Lucile, a small town which is off the I-95, just south of the Nez Perce Reservation…

Very interesting. Seems that the San Fran homeless problem is a result of an industry designed to profit from it. Also points out that small local papers will sometimes find the truth that big media would rather ignore.
Scrappy local paper takes on San Francisco’s homeless-industrial complex
https://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2023/07/scrappy_local_paper_takes_on_san_franciscos_homelessindustrial_complex.html
When CNN announced that former Bay Area reporter Sara Sidner would be coming to delve into San Francisco’s lethal cocktail of fentanyl and homelessness, I knew what to expect.
For the May 2023 special, Sidner asked people living on the streets why they came to San Francisco to be homeless and got the same answers I’ve gotten for years: It’s easy. Easy to get drugs, do drugs, put up a tent, steal to support your habit — and San Francisco will pay you more than $600 a month for the pleasure.
It may not come as a surprise, but cities that offer general assistance payments have more than twice the rate of homelessness as cities that don’t. For example, San Francisco and New York City have the highest rates at 10.4 and 10.9 per 10,000 people respectively, while Las Vegas has the lowest (2.3), with Columbus, Ohio, and Indianapolis tied for second lowest.
Still, San Francisco’s homeless advocates believe money is the answer, with organizations coaching new arrivals to say they’re “from San Francisco” while helping them navigate the system. The “nonprofits” themselves complete what has become a billion-dollar industry chasing its own tail, with 59 providers receiving $240.6 million in fiscal year 2019–20, according to the latest audit by the city’s budget and legislative analyst.

“We Shouldn’t Have Done It”: The Facebook Files Confirm Government Censorship Extended From Official Data To Jokes
After years to refusing to release the files or answer questions on its work with the government over the censorship of its users, Facebook yielded after Congress threatened contempt sanctions. The files are chilling but familiar. They include the government’s insistence on the censoring of official and true information on the side effects of the Covid vaccines as well as the origin of the virus. At one point, Nick Clegg, the company’s president of global affairs asked “Can someone quickly remind me why we were removing—rather than demoting/labeling—claims that Covid is man made.” The Vice President in charge of content policy responded, “We were under pressure from the administration and others to do more. We shouldn’t have done it.”

He may be getting so upset about all this coming out and not being able to do anything to stop it that they took him away, afraid he will kick the bucket. And, that would leave them with…………………KAMALA!!!!!! 😯
