I never deep fry food at home – because of the smell, and the mess. Here is a video made by YouTubers I really like that tries to convince us to fry at home. Maybe I’ll try some of it?
It’s fun to watch anyway. Their videos usually feature something new and different. As he says, if they want to get the most clicks they would have to make pasta carbonara every week! I’m happy that they don’t.

Lot of good info there re flour/egg/breadcrumbs. Thanks Stella!
(I don’t think he liked the brains so much!)

My father was the grandson of a German sausage maker in Peoria, IL (who fought in the Civil War). My dad first fed me calf brains with eggs when I was about 4 years old. I don’t eat brains these days, but they aren’t bad. our ancestors ate as much of the animals they killed as possible. Another thing I ate growing up was head cheese. It is just what it sounds like. The head of the pig is cooked in a pot, the meat is picked off the skull and it forms a jellied meat dish. It is actually pretty good! Beef tongue was another thing I first ate when I was about eight years old.

Czar loved that stuff. I remember he cooked it occasionally

We kept some of those foods in our society – hot dogs and bologna are good examples. As one British actress once said: Anybody who thinks they never ate tongue or eyeballs is just fooling themselves.

They are so interesting in the way they prepare food and so interesting in the choices of what they will cook. Great show!!!
