    Welcome, Stellars, to the following islands: The Isle of Wight, Hayling Island and Portsea Island, none of which are considered part of the “Channel Islands” even though they, too, are set in the channel between England and France (don’t ask me why, but the Royal Navy set it up that way)….

    Afternoon, All. It is a little over 60*, sunny, with just a slight breeze. Beautiful!

    Nothing of importance to report on. It is best to avoid most of the news because it is pretty dismal. I guess today means more sorting and some shredding because there are some papers that need to be shredded to go in the trash. Hope your day is as much fun. 🙂

    Another train wreck is spilling toxic stuff because the bridge collapsed under them–it’s all in the Yellowstone River in eastern Montana.

    Having incompetent people in places of authority/responsibility is a scourge on our nation…always has been, but it surely seems worse now.

    I dare Mayor Pete to go to rural eastern Montana–out in the hinterlands between I-94 and the ND border–and act like he’s important. The manure those people have on their cowboy boots is never more than a day or two old and they aren’t wearing those cowboy boot for reasons having to do with either fashion or their height.

    …and they NEVER track stuff into the house on the shiny floors….because the lady of the house, who also has cowboy boots with manure on them, has explained to them why they hadn’t oughta do that. There’s also no need, because they have a mud room where that kind of thing is addressed.
