Friday in the North Atlantic’s Canary Islands (Spain) looks to be lovely, Stellars, with a high of 80 degrees. The largest to smallest in land area are Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera, El Hierro, and La Graciosa.
The name of the archipelago has nothing to do with the birds but with dogs. One story is that the earliest inhabitants arrived to discover the islands contained packs of large dogs. Another is that the islands were a haven for herds of seals or what the Romans called sea dogs. The truth is apparently lost to time.
Rife with fraud and corruption, the U.S. government’s multi-billion-dollar Haiti aid program has failed miserably to help citizens of the impoverished island nation, yet the Biden administration is sending tens of millions more under the auspice of Caribbean climate funding. At a recent meeting in the Bahamas, Vice President Kamala Harris unveiled a new $100 million allocation from American taxpayers earmarked as general “support for the Caribbean” to among other things transition renewable energy, address climate change and resilience building across the region. The money will also address energy, food security and humanitarian needs in the various islands.

Afternoon All. Slept in this morning for some reason. It is in the low 60’s and climbing, and sunny, a perfect summer day.
I don’t know what we will do today. I guess just continue working on my extra room since after I move I won’t have an extra room and will have no place to put those things. I am going to have to go to the rule: if you haven’t used in it a couple of years , it needs to go. I am stretching that to “a couple of years” since I moved last year.
Knate works out of Reno, Nevada, I think, and is such a sweetheart, always respectful of the humanity of those he helps with the money donated by his followers plus whatever is generated by YouTube viewings. He and his girlfriend put together items in backpacks which he keeps in his car in case he sees someone needing assistance. And rather than handing out money, he volunteers to purchase equipment, clothing, and food which I think is often the better way to handle the situation. On occasion he goes the extra mile and helps secure a motel stay.
Merrick Arrogant Garland is about as concerned about our republic (democracy he calls it) as Mao/Xi was/is….

This is a bit over the edge, but it’s outrageous what Hunter was writing off on his taxes. The article goes into more detail. What a pig. I don’t think I’ll be including any receipts for this sort of “activity”.
Involved in every manner of depravity. I read somewhere recently about Joe bragging several times that his son Hunter takes after him. Don’t know the context, but there’s no doubt in my mind that Joe is correct when it comes to his malfeasance.

Unfortunately, this sort of thing doesn’t seem to get much traction until someone with a name steps up. Some things work better when they are from the grass roots, and apparently, some fires have to be started by the rich and powerful. Whatever it takes.
