      I remember I was so glad to see the backend of Obama when he FINALLY left, which really didn’t happen. But, now I want to see the backend of this whole “administration.”

        Good morning, aus! Anyone with any sense knows that the Bidenhandler Administration is worthless. Unfortunately, however, the criminals are not only NOT leaving, they are all dropping their drawers and showing their hineys to us in defiance.

    Mornin’ All. It was in the low 40’s this morning with very bright sunshine. Clouds are moving in now. Big, white, fluffy clouds. I haven’t checked what the weather guessers are saying yet. Loki says she doesn’t care. 🙄

    I still haven’t heard about the apt. But, I was at the doctor’s office yesterday and I heard a woman talking about the nurses where she works having trouble finding an apartment they can afford. The rents have gone up so much. I told her that there would be a vacancy in August here, so to tell the nurses to keep checking with this apartment complex. I didn’t say it was me. There are so many new apartments being built, but they are all very expensive. People are having a hard time finding an affordable place to live. Hopefully my move goes through.

    Be safe in all this weather.

        During the entire time of Kevin McCarthy’s run for the Speaker (you recall that it took weeks for him to be confirmed since many conservatives wanted to have a real ball-buster in that position and not one who has compromised so much…caveat: I’ve aways rather liked McCarthy as a person but not particularly as a legislator or leader), Thomas Massie supported him all 15 rounds of voting and even assisted in brokering a deal between the conservatives and McCarthy. That’s pretty much when I put Massie on my “pretend” list…rightly or wrongly is in the eye of the beholder.

        Regarding the article I posted, the following is important: “Censuring Schiff sends a signal that Republicans are serious about addressing the disease he represents. It would also constitute an implicit repudiation of the first Trump impeachment, where Schiff played a starring role.

        “Democrats love the idea that history books will show Trump’s two impeachments. If this resolution passes, the history books will include an official statement that brands one of the masterminds of those efforts a liar for all time.”

        No one was willing to do anything about Schiff until Anna Paulina Luna came along. We all know it’s horrible for a man to tell provable lies which encourage half the nation and much of the world to continue thinking President Trump is a traitor. Schiff should be punished severely…and it must be noted that the fine of $16 million was only to be enforced IF an ethics probe found Schiff committed transgressions.

        That said, I’m glad Luna has excluded fines in the proposed new round since it was a sticking point for many. Personally I do NOT think it was “cruel and unusual punishment.”

        Thanks to Viva Frei and Robert Barnes I do understand that the whole exercise in censuring may be un-Constitutional via the way Luna set it up, not only in the fines but because of the fact the lies happened during the previous congressional session. However, imo what was cruel and unusual was Schiff persecuting Donald Trump and likely no one will ever get punished for that now.

        Schiff assassinated President Trump’s reputation and he gets off scot-free PLUS he gets rewarded by becoming a Senator. It’s too disturbing and depressing to think about. His censure MUST be considered a priority.

        I’ll continue to keep my eye on Massie.
