    Stellars, have a fine Wednesday visit to town squares around the world….

    Place de la République, Paris, France…

    It honours the newly proclaimed Third Republic (1871-1940) with a bronze statue of Marianne, the symbol of France.

    Alexanderplatz, Berlin, Germany…

    The busiest plaza in Germany, it’s home to the famous television tower.

    Shibuya Square, Tokyo, Japan…

    The square is dedicated to the modern Japanese culture of entrepreneurship.

    Piazza del Popolo, Rome, Italy…

      Piazza del Popolo Rome

      Piazza del Popolo is a very well-known square in Rome. In Italian the name means ‘People’s Square’, but the name is actually derived from the poplars that surrounded the oval square. The original function of the neo-classical square, which was designed between 1811 and 1822, was welcoming visitors and pilgrims who entered Rome from the north over the Via Flaminia.

    Mornin’ All. 62* and very sunny. Another beautiful day. I am heading out to Bible Study and hoping to hear from the apartment complex to go check it out. Hope you all can stay away from the smoke from the fires in Canada.

      Good luck! I hear that we have to worry about fires in northern Michigan too. It is quite dry here. We really need some rain.

        There have already been fires here and it is early for that. But, it evidently is a problem they have every year. They caught an arsonist who had set quite a few fires last year when a package deliverer saw him setting a fire.

    DC Draino on Wednesday morning tweeted out a signed letter by President Trump dated January 19, 2021. This was the day before President Trump left office. The presidential letter declassifies all of the Crossfire Hurricane documents that prove Barack Obama, James Comey, John Brennan, James Clapper, the FBI, CIA, State Department and Deep State spied on him and knew the Trump-Russia collusion hoax was a scam.

    I saw/heard this happen today–

    I live in a 55+ neighborhood of 1500 homes. Today I attended an event that meets twice a month for the purpose of just singing the old hymns. There were 20 people in attendance.

    At the usual time slot when prayer requests may be shared, an old man stood and said this quietly, as nearly as I can recall his words:

    “Folks, I have a serious concern about our nation. The FBI had indicated that people like us who gather for things like this are to be considered extremists. This is actually happening.”

    He spoke just that briefly and then sat down. As I realized what he was saying, I looked away from him to see the body language responses in the room–no one responded verbally but almost all were nodding heads in agreement.

    My point is to share the observation that a good cross-section of ordinary people are aware of what’s happened and what is happening. If someone wants to criticize the group for not rushing out and starting a protest of some kind, go for it. I’m just reporting what I saw.
