I have a cat water fountain just like that. Bought it so the cats could not play in the water bowl, which was leaving a large wet mess. So far they have not found out how to do what this cat is doing!!!

My class has a website which has kept up with many of the grads (1967). They post deaths, info re reunions, etc. They also post pictures of little dinners held regularly by a small group which lives upstate in Florida. Apparently none of our (over 1000) class is running the country.

I went to 5 different high schools so I don’t have a clue – only remember some of the last 2.

And I thought our class of 500 was huge!! School years were a trial, so no clue other than a couple of friends I grew up with. My sister was very involved socially, but I believe she only stays in touch with a few she grew up with too.

Same here. I married my high school sweetheart and only kept in touch with my best friend since I moved away for many years.

Oh, good grief! That does explain a lot, doesn’t it?
There were only 13 in my graduating class, and the school (a Lutheran boarding school) in Minot, ND closed down a few years after I graduated.
The majority of the student body (never more than 125 total) were from farm families scattered across North Dakota and Montana, like myself, where terrible winter weather and worse roads made it difficult for farm kids to participate much in their school’s activities….so off we went to this great little school which I enjoyed tremendously. After transportation was more reliable, the benefit of the boarding school education was less.
One of the best things was the 45 voice a capella choir that my brother and I were both in, which did a ten day tour every spring, visiting little churches all throughout the region, to recruit/invite more students. I was always in the girls’ trio and mixed quartette which had additional concert appearances all during the year. Our choir was directed by the best trained peeps from St. Oalf college in Northfield, MN–a bastion of the European chorale singing school-of-music. Good times.

In New Orleans last night there was block party which was shot up. The reporter said, “only seven people were shot last night, none of them fatal”. Can’t tell whether he was disappointed or amazed. This was the nineteenth (19th) mass shooting (4 or more shot) in NO this year.

National Day Calendar says we should celebrate Craft Distilleries and the Paloma (a tequila and grapefruit drink) but the only food listed is vanilla pudding, so dinner may be a real mess…. If you plan to play solitaire (yes, it has a day of recognition today) you’d better do so early, before you get too sloshed to remember the rules.
Kinda worried about “National Be Yourself Day” as some real characters may emerge today. Watch your local news…

Thank you for these daily updates, Czarina.
So, if you want to “be yourself” by yourself, playing solitaire, selecting your beverage of choice from the listed day’s specialties, and finishing up with some made beforehand vanilla pudding, who is to know?

Morning everybody! Overcast but warmer today. I’ll be running some errands, so I’m happy that it’s not raining.

Afternoon All. Really overcast this morning and about 60*. We had a little t-storm last night and it rained a little with it. Nice. And, there are already forest fires, so everyone is happy to see some rain.
My son talked to a woman at work who goes to bingo with her mother on Monday nights. So he gave her my number in case I wanted to join them. I am going tonight. I don’t know if I will like playing bingo, but I might. Also, it is only about 10 min from my apartment. We will see. Might end up being a fun thing.
Have fun.

Well, now we know why Quasimodo was so mentally disturbed. They wouldn’t let him wear his hoodie and shorts while working. Now that they’ve found a workaround, he’s all better. These people peddle this shiite with a straight face. I don’t know how they do it, but they do.
