Good, but a little too far? Why do extremists swing radically to the other side when they reform? We tried vegetarian for blood pressure health but only lasted about a year and now eat the same balanced diet we were raised on (with a few modifications including less fat and salt). Our ancestors did eat vegetables…in fact; they subsisted mainly on grains and veg’s until meat became a farming enterprise. Anyone who hunts can appreciate how hard wild game is to come by – even with today’s advanced weapons.
Thanks for sharing that, Tex–always gives hope to see reform.

Mornin’ All. It is almost 60* and bright and sunny with a clear blue sky. I am loving this weather here.
I have decided to renew my lease here. I can’t find anything available cheaper than this place. There are cheaper apartments, but there are long wait lists for all of them. I am too afraid to let this go. I have to find a way to keep on a tighter budget.
There will be no Mother’s Day festivities today. My son”s dog attacked his in-law’s dog on Monday and it was so bad he had to have an operation on his neck. Then on Friday it happened again. They had been trying to keep them apart, but………mistakes were made. Anyway, on Friday they had to take him back to the vet for more surgery to fix what had been damaged again. Anyway, they had already made arrangements to have a trainer decide if it would be all right pot rehome my son’s dog. So, they knew of someone who wanted him and they drove him to those. people this weekend. Sometimes you just have to do what needs to be done.
The incident sent shivers up my spine. When we were there last week I was talking to my son and heard a commotion at my feet, growling and snarling,. It was Loki attacking the other dog, and she is about the size of his head. She was biting him (without teeth) on the back of his neck. His response was to flatten out on the floor. It is a good thing she was a female and he liked her or she would have been a goner.

Saw the in-laws at church. Ding is their dog, and he is doing well. The family who is taking Jimmy, the lab, is somebody they know and they are sure they will take good care of him.
