Well…I just noticed that I put in the wrong photo for the St. Charles Church, Vienna, Austria.
The photo I included is for the Arc du Cinquantenaire Arcade, Brussels, Belgium.
The following is the church…

Been speed reading this morning, Lucille; but I did wonder about that one – looks like the 4 horsemen on top. Love your photos each day!! Thank you!!!

You’re welcome, weather! Double and triple checking the links is always a must. At least I’m not at the Brandon level of mental confusion…I don’t think…LOL!
The entire area around the church is so peaceful and the church itself is beautiful architecture. I’d love to see it in person.

It’s National Babe Ruth Day. And National Gummi Bear Day. Who knew we needed either of these? Oh, and National Prime Rib Day —- that one sounds like a good idea.

Good day, czarina! Babe loved to eat; so I’m sure he’d be happy to try Gummi Bears. Prime rib would have been on his menu any day, of course.
Details on the photo may be found here…

As a kid, I adored all the retired Yankees, especially Lou Gehrig. My cousin had allowed me to read his copy of “The Pride of the Yankees” about Gehrig and from then on I was a Yankee fan. I begged him to give me the bio, but no go. I wonder if he still has it.
Lou and the Babe…

Started raining about 3:30, hard off and on, predicted to rain till after lunch. Had to let the dogs out at dawn and now the house smells like wet dog. Oh, well.

Good afternoon, Wee! Just viewing that Brandon vid makes me annoyed, sad (for the nation and world), angry, depressed and possessed with the urge to kick him in the slats. At least Mick is still entertaining.

Thinkin’ of the boy this morning, Stella – hope he’s feeling better and healing at dog-warp speed!
I’ve probably mentioned it before, but I knew of a dog that swallowed most of a container of Gorilla Glue once…incredibly, he survived after stomach surgery.
Was it a tumor?
Dog bless! 🙏

I just called the Animal Emergency Center, where Tucker is recovering. The report is that he is eating and doing well. We hope that he can come home to recuperate this evening, but I will know more this afternoon. The obstruction in his intestine was a piece of a rope toy that he swallowed. No more rope toys!

Wow – good report.
Rope!??? Tucker!! You mustn’t!!
Like I mentioned yesterday–having a good dog is like having a three-year-old in the house. It’s hard to figure out what they will get into…..

Wonderful news about darling Tucker’s speedy recovery! Very heartening that he’s already eating. Give him a kiss from his Auntie Lucille.

Boy, that’s good info. I never would have guessed…and so glad to know it wasn’t a medical condition.

Mornin’ All. It is 48* and bright and sunny out. There are teeny little clouds floating around in a blue blue sky, And, the grass is turning green.
Stella, I hope Tucker did well through the night. I bet he will soon feel much better than he has been. It is too bad they can’t tell you what is wrong. And, I hope you were able to sleep.
Have a nice day, All,

I know now what was wrong. He swallowed a section of rope toy that was lodged in his small intestine. They gave it to me, so I know that is true! He is recovering at the hospital, but I hope he will be home tonight. He is eating and doing well so far, they just told me.

Oh, my. That is just awful that something like that can cause so much trouble. I’m glad he is doing well.

Good ones, Sharon! I’m sending it out to my email list just like I did with WeeWeed’s “Air Controller” post yesterday which was a huge hit with the recipients.

I’d like to try #10 sometime! Probably don’t have the gumption to do that–but I bet one/either of my sons would! I probably shouldn’t give them any ideas….

Yes, #10 is quite a visual. I heard back from one fellow who has a humongous military email list. He sent your funnies to them all.

Stella,
Quick treatment probably helped him. Did they have to remove as much intestine as the nurse said?
Here’s to a continued strong and speedy recovery.
LikeLiked by 3 people
They did remove a lot. The doc said when it was out and stretched, it was 3′ at least. She said that he should do well with what he has left; dogs can lose 80% (according to her) and do well. Have to watch him so he doesn’t do something like that again.

Since that cause him so much trouble, I wonder how my neighbor’s (back in the 70’s) ate a wool army blanket a little at a time and then she looked out one day and he couldn’t poop. She went out and took a newspaper to help pull it out of him. It was about a foot square piece of blanket. And, he survived it somehow.

Tucker has eaten paper that passed through. This was a round shaped object that blocked the small intestine.
ADD: Your neighbor’s dog was able to pass it through most of his colon into the rectum.

Might have been the length of it and width too.

Tucker is home and napping on the couch next to me. He was really glad to see me, and is happy to be at home. I have a lot of nursing to do over the next several weeks, including getting up for the 6 am medication and staying awake for the midnight medication. He will be on a bland diet for the next few days, and several small meals instead of two larger ones. He has to keep the cone of shame on for a couple of weeks at least, which I hope he gets used to instead of running into walls and furniture!

Lol – they so love the cone of shame. As you know, cats REALLY love it. Kiss his poor head por moi!

Well, I have a couple of suggestions, one which I would be better off mentioning. The other was what the community did in some town in California, I think it was. They met the busses and made sure nobody got off.
