      Every iteration of technology leaves some works behind. Systems and software become incompatible. If no one deems a work important, it becomes digital dust.

      But a book, or a letter? You hold history and a world of thought in your hand. Agree or disagree? It’s your choice.

      With good care, books and letters can last centuries and require only the basic skills of reading and writing.

        Also, at this point we cannot trust what we read in most media, but a book printed even just a few years ago has not been modified.

          You’re so right. Even the classics are under the revisionists hands. And that’s not widely publicized.

          In the past, “book banning” was considered bad form. Selective editing of an author’s work is a sneaky way of doing just that.

          Part of the ability of adulthood is being able to perceive truth AND error.
