Comment on Chicago citizens carping about Walmart closing stores within the city limits, after huge losses. My belief is that the losses were caused by massive retail theft.
Walmart closed four Chicago locations over the weekend, and now community leaders want to know where people will get food and prescriptions — and what will happen to the empty buildings. Three of the locations are located in Chicago’s South and West Side neighborhoods.
South and west side are high crime, low income, poor policing I assume.

My daughter lives in the first suburb west of the city, not far from a high crime area, yet crime doesn’t – for the most part – spill into her neighborhood. That says a lot about the effectiveness of policing, and how the criminals know where they can do their crime and get away with it.

How’s that new left-leaning ideology working out for ya, Walmart?
We never supported Walmart from the beginning after seeing the small-town ma’n’pa stores dry up as the big box siphoned off most of their business. A tremendous loss that the current generation is totally unaware of.
