Good morning! It’s cold and rainy here in my neighborhood. My daughter (who lives in the Chicago area) tells me that they have snow on the ground. Spring in the north – 80 degrees one day, snow the next!

High of 46° today, but it will be 77° by Thursday!
ADD: After that, temps trend down again. Weather Underground calls it “weather whiplash”.

Beautiful day. It’s 50 degrees and sunny and the flood waters in our county continue unabated….The forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday is calling for rain and snow, so for now, there’s no end in sight to the flood waters.

From what I saw on a weather report last night, it looks like the flooding situation is going to get dire because of all the snow and rain from up North of there.

:0) Afternoon aus. Hope you’re getting a little spring back into your step.
The snowpack on the Sweet Grass has thawed at waaay too fast a rate this year.
The family resevoir dike went under about two days ago and the backhoes have been out attempting to drain cattle feeding grounds. Had a farmer two days ago who watched three deer swimming across flat farmland and the road to my folks old farm house which is also prairie flatland, has also been washed out.
On the negative side, more rain does not bode well, but on the positive side, the forecast has been incorrect about 75% of the time, so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that they’re wrong and that it doesn’t rain.

Yep, I am getting my strength back pretty fast now. I just hadn’t eaten hardly anything for several days. So, I am trying to eat well, now.

Afternoon All. It seems a little humid right now, but it is actually supposed to be raining until noon, although I haven’t seen any. We are in the high 40’s and overcast.
I am much better and I may even go do laundry. So, have a nice day wherever you are.

Stella, I want to tell you I used the boil/ice water method for the 18 eggs I cooked. I felt it was worth it even though it took time. The time saved peeling the eggs made up for the effort. And, I did set all the other eggs out on the counter after the first batch had two cracked ones and had no more. So, I don’t know if it was warming them up a little that helped or if, like you said, maybe they had a fine crack already. I did check them before I boiled them though. Anyway, it worked great. It also eliminated all the naughty words usually said while tearing the shells off and tearing up the eggs.

I’m glad it worked well for you. I did another six this morning, and they always come out of the shells intact.
