A redbud from the Mediterranean region is often called Judas tree, as Judas is said to have hanged himself from such a tree, after which the white flowers turned red with blood or shame.
Holy Wednesday or Spy Wednesday, remembering how Judas arranged the betrayal of Jesus with the chief priests, since he was a spy among the disciples of Jesus. Some churches celebrate Tenebrae (the Latin for ‘shadows’ or ‘darkness’) services especially on Spy Wednesday, where they gradually extinguish lit candles while reciting and chanting a series of readings and selected psalms. Matthew 26:
Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests, and said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you?
And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
Have a blessed Wednesday, Stellars….

Photos of Gethsemane today….

The remains of a 2,000-year-old ritual bath and a 1,500-year-old church were found at the site of Gethsemane, a place near Jerusalem where the Bible says that Jesus was betrayed by Judas and arrested. (Image credit: ATEF SAFADI/POOL/AFP via Getty Images)

Mornin’ all ya’all! Sunny, breezy, looks like a nice day with some humidity. Electrician coming today to finish the hot tub 220 line. I think it will be done in time to be a cool soaking tub this summer…

Good day, czarina! The sun is shining brightly but there is an absolutely frigid breeze blowing. So a down coat is required just to get the mail.

Good afternoon, Wee! Clever! Our President was 34 in 1980. His birthday is coming up, having been born on Flag Day, June 14, 1946.
It’s absolutely incredible that our President hated so much by folks who otherwise might just be Democrats and not lefties. But the brainwashing has been subtle yet severe and many have lost their ability to discern truth–if they ever had discernment in the first place.
Alan Dershowitz said in his podcast yesterday that Caroline Kennedy has a tremendous case of TDS. He was delighted to be seated next to her at a dinner and she proceeded to inform him not to speak to her as she will never forgive him for having worked for President Trump on one of the impeachment proceedings. She further said that if it wouldn’t make such a scene, she’d get up and leave so as to not be near him. This after knowing him for years. I respect Dersh for his staunch support of the rule of law. It’s really too bad he can’t see the truth on other things, but unfortunately he’s indoctrinated, too.

I am still baffled by Dershowitz. He has stated many times that he voted for Hillary and would again. He has to have blinders on to not see what a liar and cheat she is and how many people connected to her have been murdered. Maybe he says that so he won’t end up on that list.

Aus, makes you wonder, doesn’t it. He said he voted for Hillary in the podcast. It’s definitely a puzzle. I’m sure he misses many of his old friends who now won’t speak to him. Maybe he’s hoping for a reconciliation with one or two since they have their vote in common. A bit like a peace offering.
I have one old friend who said she never wanted to hear from me again because of my filling in that little box for President Trump in the voting booth. She’s done the same to her oldest friend of at least 45 years.
If it were just one or two who have shunned their family members and friends because of politics, you could sort of chalk it up to a really poor disposition and character. But it’s likely in the millions.
It’s just plain sad.

Hi everybody! It’s very warm here this morning (70°), and we are under a tornado watch. Severe storms expected starting in an hour or so, but it looks as if the worst of it will be north of here. Never know for sure though!

Afternoon all. It is 34* and a little cloudy here this morning. I never cease to be amazed at the blue of the sky here.
I just got an email that there is an availability at the apartment complex I want. It is very much cheaper (hm, probably not grammatically correct) than where I am now and nearer my family. We will have to see what happens.
Stay safe and have a nice day.

Whoa! LOL. They only notified me there is an opening. For all I know they may have notified 10 other people. My lease is up here around the middle of June. So, we have to wait until they contact me again. I hate the waiting.
