“Crocus”
When winter’s winds are on the wane
And sunshine warms young April days,
When snow gives way to slushy rain
The crocus springs anew.
While crouching ‘neath the frosty crust,
On tender bended stem it prays
To fend off one more crushing gust
And melt the frozen dew.

The one time I was in Vancouver it snowed and I missed going to the gardens!

Hi, Czarina! Here’s a pleasant video of the gardens. Pretend you were able to go after all and held the camera. Note that they allow dogs to accompany their families.

Executive Orders and Federal Agency Rules Are Not Law
By Allen West – Mar 20, 2023
Just last week, Biden erroneously embarked upon an unconstitutional venture by issuing an executive order that his White House said will utilize federal agencies to promote red flag laws (which are unconstitutional violations of the Second Amendment and due process), expand background checks, and collect more information on federally licensed firearms dealers.

Just how does an Executive Order over rule our Constitution? There has to be a way to rein in the power hungry POTUS! Isn’t the COVID era kinda over?

Looks like a “glitch” arose. It was discovered that Bragg withheld vital information from the grand jury. My, my, who woulda thunk it!

My crocuses started blooming last week–I don’t have nearly the thousands I would like to have!…but sure do enjoy the few. The primroses are also in the midst of their spring blooming; they have a fall bloom as well. So colorful!

Crocus are lovely! Snow everywhere here – it’s like living in a Christmas card. Yesterday morning I was walking on top of 1-2 feet of frozen snow; the sun was coming up and the snow sparkled like glitter. The songbirds arrived last week, saw their shadow and left. Wildflower season should be glorious when it arrives…in June!!

Crocuses always reminds me of the song Joni Mitchell wrote for her little baby she gave up for adoption:
“Just a little green
Like the color when the spring is born
There’ll be crocuses to bring to school tomorrow
Just a little green
Like the nights when the Northern lights perform
There’ll be icicles and birthday clothes
And sometimes there’ll be sorrow”

Good morning all! Gray, but not cold (in the 40’s, going into the mid 50’s). Rain expected tonight, continuing through tomorrow morning. Hope your day is sunny!

Sunny, cool wind up against 70*s. Planted 11 azalea transplants from my bushes to my brother’s yard. Exhausted with ice on my knees now.

Evening All. Went to Bible study with a friend this morning. She needed to go into the little town where I want to find an apt closer to my family to pick up her taxes. So we checked out two of the apts I have been looking at on the Internet. Then we went to lunch at a restaurant there. I had a piece of quiche and some chicken, corn, something, something soup. It was delicious. A bit pricey, but that’s how things are everywhere.
Both apts would do fine, except one only accepts support animals. Don’t know if I can get around that. But, there is no way I am giving up Loki. Period!!
Hope you all had a nice day where you are. It was beautiful here.

Just got an email from Family Search. They tell me that I am Emily Dickinson’s 5th cousin 4 times removed.
