Apparently wanted a location with better sunshine….that’s funny.

“My” dog (son’s dog actually, but he lives here…..it’s a long story) is just the best dog, a yellow lab. He has so many personal preferences about this and that. We use quite a bit of time assuring one another about our best qualities. He’s been the very best companion dog I’ve ever had, I think.

Grant and I always made a point of having two dogs at a time so that in our regular and sometimes longish absences during the day they wouldn’t be lonely. Now it’s just one dog and me, so I need to be his buddy. It’s a good job to have.

You’re welcome, weather. I feel sad for those dogs. They no longer have jobs for which their characteristics were bred. Breeding out anti-social canine behavior is long and tedious.

Akitas are beautiful but they were bred in Japan to work as hunters who were relentless against strong prey. They need careful training to be a family pet. Frankly, I would be terrified to have one.
