All things bright and beautiful,
All creatures great and small,
All things wise and wonderful:
The Lord God made them all.

Had one of those shy, nosey deer in the front yard yesterday. Cher Chez chased it off.

Never too shy to prune your azalea bush to nothing!! Good dog!!!

Good day to you, Czarina! We usually see deer on our apartment complex lawns but none this winter.
Have you seen anything more of your alligator?

Gone. For good I hope. Not seen for a couple of months.

That’s certainly good news. I prefer wildlife to be on the more friendly side.

Very weird to be stalked on my back yard by a prehistoric monster…

Some great swing music to get your day going….

That 40’s music will get your morning going. The D Day Museum in NO has a cafe with regular performances by bands and singers from the era.

What fun!

I misstated. The bands and singers are not from the era. They dress like and play music from the era

Mornin’ All. I turned over this morning and thought someone was shining a flashlight in my eyes. But, it was just the bright sun shining in my bedroom window. Now it is overcast and about 20*. Loki doesn’t care. She just says “meh”.
She is asleep right now.
Guess I need to do some housekeeping today. So I had better get busy or I might get lazy. Hope your weather is nice today.

Good morning, aus! We’re at 29 right now but the weather report says that it feels like 23…I believe it! No sun and it’s supposed to snow lightly.
I think I’ll watch some old Sherlock Holmes movies today. The following link will get you to a whole series of them starring Basil Rathbone….

I like him as Sherlock Holmes.

He was my favorite until Benedict Cumberbach and Robert Downey did him recently.

I have to admit I did like both of them.

Did you know Conan Doyle hated the series and even went so far as to kill Holmes off to try to end it. Did not work, and the audience demanded and got more!

I didn’t know that.

Doyle probably got tired of a one-note-Johnny writing career. But the fans of his era were the ones who bought the novels because they loved the characters. So I can see how he’d have to continue the series even if he didn’t particularly want to. Doyle apparently wrote other novels but I couldn’t name a one of them.
I wonder what he would have thought of the many movies. He’d already passed when Rathbone starred in a bunch of them during the 30s and 40s.

I tried to read one of his other books, something about the time of the crusades. Plowed through it for a while then just gave up. NOT a Holmes mystery, I can tell you!

Dancing dogs! Did you know that there’s a competition for that?

Not only did I not know about dancing, I had no idea there were specialist judges! Loved some of the “steps” and wiggles they performed! They were cleverly choreographed.

Made sweet and sour shrimp with noodles for dinner. Used a bit too much heat, but still delicious.
